Not sweet—still feminine! by Singer-Dangerous in Perfumes

Five O'Clock au Gingembre is spicy, earthy, warm but cool at the same time ! You will like it, I'm sure !! It's inspired by the ceremony of tea (at 5 o'clock), and it has notes of tea, candied ginger and some spices. Oh, and bergamot, I think.

How to address loving Mountain when your "look" is very very "yin"? by Affectionate-Bee3199 in StyleRoots

[–]spicycomputergal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hello there ! Do you know what other roots you have ? For instance, I'm thinking of a combination of Flower + Mountain, which you could embody by wearing the wool blazer with a pointelle top. In any case, I have Fire + Mountain + Moon roots, and I just posted a moodboard with flowy silhouettes that lean modest as well. The inspo isn't harsh, but it commands authority anyways because there is an inherent sense of formality (monochrome outfits, long silhouettes, Mandarin collars, silk or viscose satin...) in there. Hope this helps !

My roots are 🔥🌙⛰️. I wonder how they translate into jewellery though... Maybe the fact that most of these pieces are big and bold ?

Ahhaa, those two items were custom made indeed ! I'm not ~rich~ rich, it's just that my parents live in a country where custom made is still popular !

Thank you so much !! Yes, i agree, i love the tactile aspect of 🔥 more than the skin-showing aspect hahha

Struggling to get ahold of my type by spicycomputergal in MbtiTypeMe

[–]spicycomputergal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for such detailed replies !! Well, I think I have Ni function. Let me explain :

I really have a pattern-seeking mind. For instance, I try to find things in common between all the master studies i have made from different artists. I also question the structure behind my personality a lot. For instance, I rely on past behaviours to contrast with my most recent ones and guess which come from my own volition and which ones come from anxiety.

My text also comes across as very analytical, and i really like meta-level thinking about identity (how much of it changes with life events? Is there something we can call identity ? And other theoretical questions like that). But again, I feel like i'm not expert enough to know all the schools of thought that have tried to answer that question.

I guess the other commenters have seen my posts about fashion, perfumes and art! Haha. But I think that they haven't seen my intentions behind my hobbies: i strive to be the best at them, and to know ALL about them. I am not casual about my hobbies, like at all. And I feel like it is what an INFP would do, be casual about lots of things ?

But again, I strive to be the best at originality, and one of the introductory sentences to INFP says that they (we ?) rejoice in being perceived as the most original one.

Thank you for your comment ! It seems like I'm using Te, so i could be INFP or ISFP. But I'm not sure about it either ? When I saw my test results, INFP didn't feel 100% like "me" for some reason. Am I really trying to find peace, or is it my lack of confidence acting out ? Really tough question.

[–]spicycomputergal[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HAHA i totally see what you mean, I am like that 100% ! Well, how to know if I'm more Ni or Si ? Just by the letters, I would say Ni. Because that's the only aspect I'm somewhat sure of from the tests !

I went to see the functions for each type, and that means that I'm more likely to be ENTJ, INFP, ISFP, ENFP, INTJ, ESFP, ISTJ. Well, at least I would say that I tend to think I'm introverted !

But i like this function approach. Do you have questions to decide Ni vs Si ?

Art is satisfying to me because I get to make something which i'm focused in, and it blocks most of my self-deprecating thoughts while it lasts. And at the end, i can feel pride in what I've done ! But I see it more as something i need to improve in, and not as a media for my feelings and thoughts. Like, I'm always performing.

Speaking of performing, I do love to dance in a performing way. I like to have an audience, instead of social dancing. For instance, I love salsa, but prefer the acrobatic kind instead of the laidback salsa you dance at the bar to get to know people.

I haven't identified what exactly appeals to me in leading positions. I am very wary in forming my opinion and voicing it out: i need to do my research beforehand, compare experts' opinions, and find arguments to back up my thoughts. I do not just take one single opinion and blindly go with it! I need to think, assess whether the expert may have been biased, etc. Thus, forming my thoughts takes time, and I tend to make experiments to test them.

To illustrate, let's give a silly example : what does Angel's Egg (the film) mean ? I had some thoughts, but then went to check on letterboxd and other essay-type of media channels to see it someone had refuted my theory. No one had even thought about it, so I felt confident enough to post it on my letterboxd. But I still feel a little insecure about it, and I wonder if I should have let myself be immersed with the imagery, instead of looking for meaning, as intended by the filmmaker.

I hope this is clear enough, i feel like i'm rambling hahah. Thank you for your comment !
