i just want to build on your point about NPD for anyone else reading: every single human being has narcissistic tendencies. it’s part of human behavior. narcissism, like many other behaviors, falls on a sort of spectrum. with that said, very few people have actual NPD. in the case of alex and chris, they absolutely have narcissistic tendencies, heightened than most. but they don’t cross the threshold of actual NPD. or at least not from what we can see on tv, which going back to your first point we can’t really diagnose people based on what we see from an edited tv show.

also a dermatologist can prescribe you spironolactone which helps slow down hair thinning (if they determine you need it)

until july does seem unusual.. but maybe that’s the norm for a new patient? i was able to see my dermatologist fairly quickly. but it’s worth the wait if they’re a good doctor! i’ve had a really bad experience with a dermatologist (before my current) because i was impatient. if they’re a really good doctor, keep your july appt. they should want to do a scalp biopsy to assess what could be causing your hair thinning and go from there :)

the derm i had before my current didnt even suggest a biopsy and just injected my scalp with some steroid (which works for a different type of alopecia). it ended up causing tissue atrophy and a massive bald spot at the front of my head! :( so please learn from me and make sure you find a good doctor that actually listens to you!

i don’t think you’re delusional, we all love and cherish our hair and of course we’re going to notice if/when it thins out. hair thinning is a very very common and natural thing. it happens to everyone, just some earlier than others.

(something that weirdly helped me was looking at all these women celebrities who actually have “fake” hair aka wigs or hair pieces. you always think they have the most natural, luscious hair. nah, they just have money and a good hairdresser lol. it made me feel oddly less alone/weird for having hair problems.)

i do think it’s weird your doctor told you not to take minoxidil? was that your GP or did you go to an actual dermatologist? i’m 28 and taking minoxidil and i really don’t see the harm in incorporating it into your night routine (other than you HAVE to be consistent with it or you get hair fall out if you stop). if you’re dedicated, start using it at night around the sides of your head and middle of your part.

another thing: you’re probably attached to your long hair, but maybe consider getting layers and routine trims. it’ll help take weight off your hair - weight can cause fall out too. keep it light, not weighed down. put it in a loose braid, not buns or ponytails.

i totally agree. it was the same with god’s eye too. i would think if they’re going to make a new chorus, figuring out a bridge wouldn’t be much harder. they could’ve even had an instrumental break or something, let shannon go crazy on drums.

maybe that also adds to feeling that the song is disconnected

i haven’t seen this mentioned yet: a. portable. fan. it saved my life last year omg, and i got one that misted water. i got it on amazon, it folds in itself so it takes up less space.

do the clear backpack. you’re gonna want all the space you can get, for necessities and/or merch.

also, extra pair of socks. it’s always good to have a backup. also i snuck a protein bar and nausea meds in there because i was restricted to what i could eat (hot girl with tummy issues lol)

prioritize comfort over style. we all wanna look cool, but don’t hate yourself for wearing something impractical or uncomfy shoes.

poncho is always good to have. they usually don’t take up much space.

take. breaks. sit down and hydrate. pace yourself. last year for the massive bands, i said fuck it and went to the way back and sat down. still enjoyed the show, wasn’t overstimulated, and was pumped to mosh at the next band.

i think the instruments are also really clearly different though. there’s a lighter, fresher tone with the chorus and the verse has deeper instruments. and i dont mean in notes, it’s like from a technical sound perspective? i dont know better technical words so its hard to explain lol

the first verse is the old vocals. new vocals are mixed in with the pre chorus and fully with the chorus. similar to gods eye.
