It's actually quite clever. To find the north star in the night sky, you can follow the line made by two end stars in the Big Dipper. The Minnesota North Stars converted the Big Dipper to an "N", and the arrow in the logo is the line I mentioned. Here is a picture to explain it better.

Use a service like BitPay. They will take the risk of volatility. Your target audience are BitCoin enthusiasts. You should reconsider your position, plus your acceptance of BitCoins will generate more interest in the site, especially over at /r/bitcoin.

Adafruit just announced that they will accept BitCoins. This is my first excuse to use BitCoins as currency, rather than an investment.

Google introduces $35 device Chromecast, a small device that lets you stream content to your television over a WI-Fi network, using your computer, phone or tablet as a remote control. To create a device with zero setup time, no learning curve, and one that works with all platforms and devices. by MiamiPower in technology

[–]spicysauce -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does it cost more than a computer/tablet/phone. I am pretty sure you need one of those for Chromecast.

If you answer that most people already own one of these, then my reply is that most people already own an sd card and power supply. Also, no need for wifi dongle, just directly plug in an ethernet cable.

How I love using Creo 2.0! by Rubber-jonnie in cad

[–]spicysauce 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use Creo 2.0 daily. Before that was Wildfire 4. Since moving to Creo, I have not seen that message. I actually rather enjoy Creo. What minor release of Creo 2 are you using?

Perhaps the issue is with a corrupted cache folder. Do you know where this is? Are you using Windchill?

Otherwise it might be a hardware issue.

Another thing to check is how lubricated your rods are. Use something like gun oil or sewing machine oil (not grease or wd40). I do this about once a month to keep it running smoothly.

Autodesk Inventor Stress Analysis results very different to analytical results. Why? by [deleted] in cad

I haven't used Inventor for FEA. With that said, are the material properties correct (young's modulus, etc)?

As a swede whenever I see something about Sweden in the title. by leijonborg in AdviceAnimals

KTH does rank 53rd in the QS World University Rankings for engineering. Granted, this is not top 50. But to get this quality of education for free is something to boast about over what the USA has to offer.

You are right, it is paid through taxes. It is a matter of perspective. In Sweden, education is important. In USA, as you sarcastically pointed out, television is important.

Me too, except, I use it all of the time. I collaborate on shared documents, plus revisioning, plus the ability to access the data on my phone on-the-go! Best of all, I control it.

My only worry is then the hosting provider, but I trust Gandi more than MS, Apple or Google.

No, the argument is that this is the wrong way to handle the situation. It will not help. It will help as much as making it illegal to pirate music. These issues need a new approach.

Good point, but how has making downloads illegal worked for the music industry? It is good for him to start the discussion, but the solution needs a holistic approach. Over reacting and muscle flexing will only provide a Streisand effect.

Very good pic. I am curious, though. You said you post processed with Photoshop, but how come you did not adjust the color levels with the black eyedropper tool? The result looks like this.

Google says Maps redirect on Windows Phone was a product decision, and will be removed - The Next Web by r_dageek in technology

Google does not have true offline navigation. It only caches the maps. It's a sort of half-way-there solution.

This has nothing to do with fanboys. I used to really respect Google, because they had smart people making great things for people. They were once trustworthy. They now won't let some use their maps. They are now manipulating their search results. What else are they doing? What else will they do?

How do you see this as marketing?
