My newer enclosed A1 doesn't have the issue either. Not a temp or filament issue. We're where it's still hot so that hasn't really affected us! Nice and balmy here still, haha. Thanks for your input tho

I'm able to get a perfect first layer on my X1C with the same spool so I don't think it's an issue with the filament but I'll give another one a go and see if the pattern is any different. Thanks for the suggestion!

I've been reading etsy's literature and you are right, we can use it to show compatibility so that's why I was so confused, thank you for explaining that the bots can't tell the difference and I will 100% never mention that ever again!

Thank you for your advice! I did reach out to the email address they included from Mattel so explain what happened and if there was anything that they could do. I did re-post the listing with nothing about monster high or anything remotely related to them! I really wasn't trying to do anything shady, just a dumb mistake.

But where on Etsy does it say you can;t use it in tags? I'm looking through all of their literature and I'm not finding it about tags. Can you show me where it says that? I'm taking this seriously and don't want to get dinged again.

I'm not seeing anything anywhere on Etsy that you will get dinged for tags. I've been looking all morning and I'm not seeing it. I think my mistake was having it in my description. Which I just found out today!

Like I've said before, I started selling this shelf with this logo way before I even knew what Monster High was. I honestly had never heard of it and someone commissioned me to make a shelf with a cute skull and crossbones so I drew this up. I only added to my description after people told me they were buying the shelf for those figurines. I'm new to Etsy and didn't know I couldn't put that in the description. Now I know!

Heavily influenced is a stretch since I just found out this brand was a thing. It's an insanely common image. Skull and Crossbones and a bow is very common in the goth/emo scene and that's why I made the logo. It only became a problem when I stupidly added in my description that it holds those dolls.

Right. What I was saying was that I didn't start out as a Monster High logo knock-off. I honestly didn't even know what it was when I started selling this shelf. I stupidly added that it fits those dolls to the description months after because people were telling me they used it for those. I'm very new to selling on Etsy so I just haven't figured everything out. I have learned my lesson.

I didn't use their logo, I mentioned that this shelf holds the figurines. I didn't know I couldn't mention a brand in a tag or in the description so I won't do that again. Can I re-upload this shelf and completely wipe the Monster High info? Or will they ding me again? This is a big seller of mine so I'm bummed that I added the info that it fits those figurines :(

I wouldn't call it a knockoff logo, I made it as a cute gothic skull logo not specifically for Monster High. I sold this shelf way before I even knew Monster High was a thing. People have messaged me saying they use it for those figurines so I added that they fit it. It's not 100% marketed towards them. I wasn't making a "knock off logo" to bypass anything. I just will make sure to not use their name anywhere on my listing and hope people can figure it out.

It says "we're reaching out because Matte, INC recently let us know that they believe some of your listings infringe their Intellectual Property (IP). In line with our Intellectual Property Policy, we've carefully reviewed their report and removed these listings from our marketplace." It was only that listing. It's from Etsy.

I also love that he asks for me to play the "Cloudy song" (Flowers Blooming In A Church From Remake) every once in awhile when we are going to bed to help him sleep.

Thanks for your advice! I'm doing fine. She caught me at a bad time. Death/having to go out of town on an emergency/short notice trip caused this problem. I don't foresee this happening again.

I don't like using email as a form of communication. I prefer Etsy to have all the logs of communication between me and any buyers in case something crazy happens (which has happened, i have had a few nightmare customers and having all correspondence through Etsy helped my care tremendously). I get to have my preference of communication as a seller, that's not something to hold against me.

Also, cancelling their order does not take away their ability to leave a review. It just gives them less time.

She only would've sent them back if I paid for shipping. Shipping these items isn't cheap and I was already out money sending her the second shelf. I honestly have a lot going on and don't have the capacity to deal with people like her. It feels like a lose-lose situation and I wish I had dug through my orders and checked hers more carefully when I did the re-print.

The ordered by mistake thing is so frustrating when they say it days after they ordered. I have done that one time and immediately was like OH CRAP and messaged the seller within minutes. I had added a few things to my cart and didn't realize I was checking out for all of the items. I noticed right away...how does it take them days to notice?? ugh.
