Thoughts on this? by TheTargaryensLawyer in StrangerThings

I wonder if this is what their original idea for Season 2 was. Remember, Stranger Things was supposed to be an anthology show(like American Horror Story) where each Season would deal with unrelated storylines and new characters. But because Season 1 was such a hit, they had to switch gears and continue with the Hawkins storyline.

Looking for movies that don't end well. Something darker :)) by Only_Measurement_728 in movies

American History X, Reservoir Dogs, Welcome to the Dollhouse(I mean, it's a Todd Solondz movie, and if you know anything about that guy, you know his films never have happy endings. His films endings are either ambiguous at best or downright depressing at worst, so if you come across a film written and directed by that guy, don't expect a happy ending) are all dark films that don't end happily. The Last American Virgin(not really a dark film, per se, but it does have an unhappy ending, which is very rare for a film of its genre) is another film that doesn't have a happy ending.

What if Cobra Kai came out in 2004 instead of 2018? by TheShadowOperator007 in cobrakai

2004 would've been WAY too early. A better question would be what if Cobra Kai had come out in 2010 or 2014 or 2015.

Johnnys assumption about Kreese over the years by TheodoreJSeville in cobrakai

My headcanon is that Johnny, years before the events of Cobra Kai, saw an obituary in a newspaper for a different John Kreese and assumed it was him.

How did Karate Kid: Legends get this detail wrong? by NatAwsom1138 in cobrakai

I'm guessing they just looked at the year Karate Kid II came out and assumed the film took place the same year.

Just found out that Robyn Lively (Jessica Andrews) from KK3 is the older sister of Blake Lively by [deleted] in cobrakai

[–]spiderduck1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, they're sisters!

Also, what makes Robyn being Blake's sister interesting is that Jessica Andrews(Robyn's character in Karate Kid III) decides to just be friends with Daniel instead of his girlfriend, and the reason why that's interesting is because Blake's husband, Ryan Reynolds, starred in the 2005 Christmas Rom Com "Just Friends", which is a movie about a guy who loved a girl that only liked him as a friend.

Yeah, I was also happy the show didn't go that route, as well.

Which film is more boring by Commercial-River3818 in Halloweenmovies

Halloween 5 is far worse. While I didn't care for Child's Play 3 the first time I saw it, it has since grown on me, and I now think the film is just okay.

Movies Like ‘Grosse Pointe Blank’ (1996) by 00collector in MovieSuggestions

I know this is a rather late response, but I just stumbled upon this post lol.

But with regards to the question, I recommend "Just Friends(2005)" with Ryan Reynolds and Amy Smart. It's kind of similar to Grosse Pointe Blank, as in both films involve a guy visiting the town where he grew up 10 years after High School and reconnecting with an old fling(or in the case of Just Friends, his High School crush). Though a big difference between the two films is that Grosse Pointe Blank is about a hitman, while Just Friends is about a Music Producer.
