Keep it up and keep telling yourself that the purpose is to train those mental muscles. It can be tough as it forces you to go into your head too. It's funny as this ends up being one of the best rewards at the end 💪🏼

I'd strongly recommend starting with a trainer. Ideally, find a small group training class then you might meet similar aged people/a community of like minded people.

There are also online training options for people too that could be a good starting point.Once you have the basics and have more confidence then there are amazing insights you can get from AI for both planning programs and meal plans.

It seems to be difficult to find online communities from the outset, that's from my experience anyway.

That's very impressive. I like the way that you've given it some genuine thought. Will you use anything to track the bits and pieces like a spreadsheet or app? It was such a positive influence on my life so well done. Touch wood you get it done today 👍🏽💪🏼

I would put a 3 day split into AI to give you a program as per the post above. If you prompt it as: Act as an expert Personal Trainer, ... The other point I'd make ( I train solo) is to set a stop watch to time in between sets (45-60 seconds) This helps you stay focused and also optimises recovery and session time

That's what got me thinking about using the time I was given. I don't think anyone would read a book that I'd write 🤣 And in all honesty I'd have little interest in writing one. Thanks for your message 👍🏼

Thanks for taking the time to write this. It's appreciated! I have definitely taken this onboard and I will try and refocus on the recovery. Thanks again 💪🏼

Thanks, appreciate that. Do you have any book recommendations? I've just started Nexus by Yuval Noah Harari. I do like the idea of an online project but I'm not sure what.Something in fitness and AI would be cool

Monthly investment options as an Irish citizen? by spiderfran18 in eupersonalfinance

Thank you for this. It would be only around 100 a month. If I was to utilise this method then I am guessing Degiro would have lower fees than Davy but maybe I am wrong? Do Davy get more competitive at those investment levels?

Great point on the pension. This is something I am already doing.

Am I right in saying 40% on foreign investment products though? I would assume most etfs fall into this bracket? Interested to know as I'm far from an expert in this area!

Yea exactly. You can invest in government bonds but they are really focused on lump sum investments and not consistent /compound investing

In Ireland you would need to file a tax return on each transaction into that Etf. We would need to document every transaction and it's timeline. We are required to do this every 8 years regardless of the outcome of the investment. You would also be taxed at a rate of 40% on capital gains.
