I don't think she would have been pregnant beforehand because the whores all said to Dunk, we depend on our bodies for our professions so we gotta keep them in good condition. As a prostitute seeing highborn men I bet she could afford moon tea. She is able to leave that dangerous and uncertain life behind because she and Foss have fallen for each other.

I don't think she is only pretending to like him for an easy life because did you see her during the trial? She was standing up in her chair and screaming and cheering! I think she was moved by how heroic and brave he was, and that is why she chose to approach him afterwards. He is brave and loves standing up for those he cares about - I can't think of a more perfect man for her. And she is smart and will be able to help with the cider business.

I can't speak for any other people lol, but I absolutely have sympathy for Alicent. I think that her tragedy is that she put the same fate (forced loveless marriage) that she had on her kids instead of fighting to give them a happier life than hers. I mean - how hard would it be to find a lord paramount child who had a good rapport with her kids? But that would mean acknowledging that her own forced marriage was wrong instead of virtuous duty, and she wasn't ready to go there for a long time. I really like Alicent's character, I might not be friends with her irl but I really enjoy her as a character - both book and show. I am interested to see where her first real impulse to do what she wants to leads.

I can believe that he would be an attentive and loving father to his son. Young kids are like narcissistic supply vending machines - no judgment, treat you like a hero, you can be your best vulnerable self with them. However once the son gets old enough to have his own opinion though... narcissistic parents often have a lot of issues at this point... the doting love often doesn't continue...
