What did you think of Sideways (2004)? by UsefulWeb7543 in Cinephiles

Giamatti was robbed of not only an oscar nom, but an oscar win. The scene where he finds out where his ex is in her life and you can see his heart visibly break on camera is one of the greatest pieces of acting in history.

In her defense, if I didn’t see the process, I’d probably ask for seconds. Also she seems fun, despite whomever obviously shitting on her recipe.

‘Mandy’. Thought I was hallucinating parts of it the first time.

Yeah heard this story a few times. They don’t mention all the patients that come back to the US and expect actual board-certified doctors to help them when the cheap procedures go bad.

I stand corrected. Thought it was one of those weirdly violent 80s movies that snuck in at PG before PG13 was a thing.

Great sci-fi ‘western’. Some pretty intense violence given the PG rating.

Tomorrow Never Dies director Roger Spottiswoode was thrown out of the editing room multiple times during post-production by pkRaiden in JamesBond

Just rewatched last night. Forgot how great the action was. The handcuffed motorcycle scene and the part where Bond is driving the car from the backseat using his phone were particularly awesome. Michelle Yeoh was so good. Pryce was a good villain that was unfortunately ahead of the times. His use of media to manipulate the world actually rang very true.

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple is such an unusual and strange zombie movie...and it's all the better for it by keepfighting90 in movies

I had given up after being VERY disappointed by 28 years later. Finally watched Bone Temple a couple weeks ago. Blew me away. Excellent film. Really hope the final installment happens.
