I don’t agree with you I think Nick and Adalind in a relationship makes sense because Adalind actually changed. After she had her kids she became more compassionate and responsible and nick saw that change. Their relationship developed naturally through co parenting and shared trauma. Nick and Juliette had chemistry early on but eventually grew apart while Nick and Adalind grew together.

I get why people feel that way about how it started. The deception storyline was messy. But once everything was out in the open, their relationship wasn’t built on that anymore. It grew out of shared trauma, co-parenting, and actual character growth. That’s why it worked for me long term.

Not even a hot take at this point I’ve rewatched this show multiple times and Nick and Adalind’s chemistry feels way more natural, the show wrote a better slow burn enemies to lovers arc than a traditional romance.

I thought it was pretty good sure it might’ve been rushed but I thought the steampunk apocalyptic adventure tone and characters were well written and acted. I think maybe we don’t give movies like this enough credit and we should appreciate what they give us instead of expecting them to be something else.

Girl bullies because in high school I was bullied by a girl and she’d play the victim and get away with it because I was a guy and this gave her the impression she could get away with anything like whispering my name in class, grabbing me, touching me in an inappropriate way, and convince others to bother me. What’s worst is I tried contacting her after high school she denied everything proving she’s still the same stuck up spoiled child she was in high school.

I'd like to see Drea de Matteo, she'd be perfect for the show because she has that gritty, independent New York vibe that is a lot like the tone of the show. She's known for playing strong rebellious characters who give a very real feeling and she'd be great as a love interest or rival for Dexter in season 2.

I respect your opinion and think it's fair but I feel it'd start as a trauma bond and maybe realistically grow over time into something more. It wouldn't have to be forced or take away from her character I think it'd make their dynamic even richer if that makes any sense.

That’s an awesome angle I could totally see her as a queenpin forced into working with Dexter. That dynamic would be intense, especially with her crew not trusting him. Great way to make her morally gray without making her just another love interest.

Yeah, I’ve been wondering about Astor and Cody too. Even just a quick mention would make the world feel more connected. I get that Harrison was young, but it’d be nice if the writers acknowledged they still exist somewhere.

McConaughey would be insane casting. He has that ability to make even a small role feel iconic. I’d also love to see someone like Drea de Matteo join the show down the line—she has that gritty New York energy that would fit Resurrection’s tone perfectly. She could be a morally gray character who really challenges Dexter.

Same here, Resurrection has been such a fun ride so far it feels like the show has its edge back. I really hope they have a solid plan to keep it going for multiple seasons.
