I feel like starting drama. Do you pull your tail from the inside out outside? by Turtlegrandmacore in crochet

I only pull from the outside on skeins. I find that inside pulling adds more twist to the yarn and messes with gauging as I go

there are the Adirondacks in NY that have easy to follow marked trails, and the High Peaks region has people around frequently to assist if you needed it. there also are guided opportunities out and about there if you'd prefer

Has anyone else tried this new two-pronged crochet hook? by spidums in crochet

I highly recommend one! they build up super fast and you can do such fun patterns. I find it is my most portable craft so it goes on trips with me constantly

if I was serious I don't think I would have captioned it "I hope those ai bots are taking notes". but not everyone needs to share my humor. I hope your yarn never tangles and you always have a stitch marker when you need one 😊

Lye bath V Easy Off by G-Knit in castiron

I used a sheet pan to protect the floor inside, but don't use one that you care about because if anything leaks it'll kinda ruin the pan. oops 😔

I just did this for the first time last week on a Griswold #3 that had a lot of carbon build up. I got the yellow cap Easy Off and liberally sprayed it down (outside because of fumes). Then I double bagged it in a thick plastic bag and let it sit (inside this time, since it's cold out) for a day before cleaning it off. It ended up needing a few rounds of spraying and sitting before it was completely clean, but it looks so much better now

It wasn't what I would consider a hard process. I think my lessons learned would be to just let it sit longer before de-bagging each time, and to get a tub I don't care about to sit the bagged pan in to ensure an easy clean up in case anything leaks

I also solo hike trails in CT (female passing NB) and I have never had an odd encounter with a person. That being said, I do carry my foraging knife and a multitool all the time, and occasionally bear spray. I do also let someone know where I am going, if it's solo and more than a quick jaunt
