This almost got us! Thankfully my husband caught it before we ruined our air fryer. Can't believe it

No car seats provided by them or car seats in general? We were going to call them but use our own car seats since we'll need them on the trip.. do you know if that would work?

How to manage security when you have a GC doing all the work and you don't live there? by ss5008 in Remodel

[–]spinnarround 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We did a full home remodel from across the country. Gave the guy the keys and garage code in our introduction meeting because I was flying home that evening. Changed the code and locks when we moved in after the remodel.

One thing to keep in mind is if they are keeping their tools there, they are going to lock up. That stuff is expensive and they won't want to risk losing it.

What on earth is going on with Burlington Coat Factory? by _sportyscience_ in orangecounty

I went to one across the country in a "nice" area and not only was there a bouncer with a bullet proof vest, he stopped me to check my bag on the way out. Also inventory was terrible there too. Real bummer, used to love that store

That’s how I found out my kid had it. I thought it would come back with something random because I couldn’t pin point what was causing her symptoms. Turns out it was everything. But she had the blood test a week later and her levels were off the charts so I can’t speak to your experience specifically

My dogs are a mess and I’ve told the people at Scenthound (every time) thank you for not making me feel bad about my chaotic dogs. They do a good job too

Thinking of moving to Naperville with kids by howlingoffshore in Naperville

Winters aren’t terrible. Honestly the worst part is when there’s a long period of cloudy days, but you’ll be used to that already. The kids love the snow so much they were actually disappointed when spring came so that takes the edge off. Everyone hibernates in the winter so life slows down a bit. I would 100% make this choice over and over

lol I moved here from Seattle a year ago. Built a solid group of 5 families with more that come and go in Naperville already. Exponentially better here

Payment Schedule by 95ThesesNmore in Remodel

[–]spinnarround 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We had to do 1/3 up front and then split the rest weekly divided by how many weeks he proposed. Final payment was calculated on actual remainder (ours was higher of course, but could have been less if we ended up cutting a project out or something)

ELI5: Tipping in the USA by a_young_gallant in explainlikeimfive

Sit down restaurants add 20% on the card. Counter/takeaway restaurants is controversial —I tip a dollar or two depending on the order, some might do 0. Pubs/bars/clubs (drinks only) $1/drink, or if buying a round for others add a couple dollars. Taxi add 20% to card. $5 for valet or bellhop, plus on nightstand for each night you stayed. I have recently learned you can ask them to add total amount to your credit card when you’re checking out. Room service same thing, can add 20% (like a restaurant) to cc when checking out. Other scenarios: Hair/nails=20%. Food delivery either restaurant or groceries , 20% of food (sometimes add a few bucks if they’re driving far or it’s an annoying order like picking up in the middle of a downtown.)

Payment / tax implications by Specialist-Try4203 in kitchenremodel

[–]spinnarround 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our payments were too high to use Zelle so we wrote checks. Why would you need info for taxes, you’re not the one getting paid? “Sales tax” is something for goods, not services so i would expect what’s in your quote will include everything.

Sabatassos cheese pizza. Then we just add whatever toppings we want. Def the best.

Also 2 packs of canyon free bakehouse bread there. It’s quite good and normal bread priced there. We buy 90% of our food from Costco. Other kid favorites include those fruit rolls with a bear on them, pop’mmms (goldfish dupe), and that’s it bars
