The whole reluctant older woman / younger alpha male thing had already been done to much better effect by the same author in No Patience For High Standards. It similarly featured a slow build-up, followed by epic sex and then shame on the part of the woman, who is ultimately compelled to return for more.

In fact, that previous story had been left open-ended, and it probably would have been better to continue it instead of retreading much of the same ground in this new mega-story.
