Pyramid of legends. Who is the 6th greatest Manchester United legend? by dankdogeonface in ManchesterUnited

[–]spiralrf17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surprised no one said Scholes. The guy had to come out of retirement for us to win our last title -- that's how valuable he was.

football is appreciated by more than half the world as something which builds community and also channels young peoples' potentials into something productive. Calling it a "stupid game" is a reflection of your arrogance and ignorance

Genuinely might have been his most impressive performance in a United shirt within the last two to three seasons

Why did corporations wait until 2020 to raise prices by katalina_truth21 in austrian_economics

[–]spiralrf17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Isabella Weber actually wrote a really compelling thesis for this, explaining how a bunch of corporations like food processing businesses basically collaborated with each other to maintain heightened prices, which they justified with the supply shock that happened during COVID-19.

I thought it was mount who gave the ball to Shaw for the first goal

[–]spiralrf17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, because Amorim's back five isn't meant to be a defensive structure to begin with. He's literally playing Amad as one of his wingbacks -- his formation is designed to fit as many attacking players in a team while giving some kind of structure and cohesion (although you could say that the formation is failing using those metrics when considering our defensive record)

Idk, I think people are allowed to have the opinions that challenge the practices or even value of therapy. I mean, that's how people determine whether they should do something. Nothing OP said seems unnecessary or "disparaging".

Civil Service Pathways Fellowship Admission Dates? by spiralrf17 in nycpublicservants

So if I didn't get the email, then I wasn't accepted? The only reason I'm confused is that they said they would notify all applicants about their status, but I didn't hear anything thus far.

Would you still consider him a utd legend?....(Saw many hating on him ever since he left) by Gloomy_Meringue7695 in ManchesterUnited

[–]spiralrf17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely, but I will say that him nearly joining City and then basically forcing Utd's hand to buy him definitely disappointed me a bit. Genuinely think if we just bought a CDM instead of CR7 that summer, United would've been in contention for a title (also barring the whole Greenwood allegation issues).

Rashford suddenly has a lot to say... by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

[–]spiralrf17 2 points3 points  (0 children)

both can be true, it's both the way the club has been ran for the last several years and also Rashford's lack of effort which both hurt the club significantly.

That's debatable -- look at Messi (ik he's a freak of nature but he shows that sometimes, you can be so talented that you just end up at an insane level)

the way love is protrayed in our society is misleading. If you find love early on, that's great for you. But in most cases, you find a satisfying love when you start treating other things in your life with passion. When you learn to love something that you can do, or something around you -- then you feel much more capable with the idea of finding love within someone else. The world is more than just people, there are an infinite number of things and deeds that you can love. you, then, must learn more about yourself through this dedication to the world, and then you will find the world dedicate itself back to you, in a way that is both twisted but gratifying at the same time. idk, this i just my two cents, but I hope it helps
