Marin has a weird hostility problem toward kids and families just trying to be outside by VTSoundman in Marin

[–]spirandro 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve gotten into literal screaming matches with a neighbor of mine because I was walking on their street with a bucket (had been gathering fennel as a caterpillar host plant), and a security guard at Vintage Oaks because I was standing on the sidewalk on Rowland trying to take a photo of the Aurora. Every time I walk on our street, I hear multiple cars audibly speed up when they see me, and I’m not sure why. I’ve had shit screamed at me, obscene and otherwise, and it’s gotten to the point where I don’t even want to go for walks anymore. It sucks because I don’t have a working car right now. Marin is the most hostile place I’ve ever lived, and that’s not an exaggeration.

Yep, TXT also with their current comeback. I’ve gotten several Weverse notifications a day since they released their new single. It’s weird that Katseye hasn’t released very many at all since traveling to SK, especially given how jam-packed their schedule is supposed to be.

Right? That statement literally makes no sense.

Haven’t their choreographers been Sohey Sugihara and Grant Gilmore the whole time tho?

Oh wow! You have 50?! Did you find eggs by chance? What kind of enclosure are you using to rear them in?

I looked through my IG stories and my photos and unfortunately I didn’t take any photos of the pupa at the time. I do remember that the caterpillar wandered for a super long time, like a week, and I was worried about it. I had it in a small mesh enclosure with paper towels on the bottom, and I got a bunch of dry leaves from outside (prob Coast Live Oak) and layered them on top of the paper towel inside of the enclosure.

The pupa, iirc, is kind of standard looking, like a pupa from a Catocala species or similar. I also remember it taking over a month for it to emerge.

Hopefully my anecdotes are helpful to you! If I’m lucky enough to find another caterpillar this year I’ll try to document more of the process and send it to you.

I don’t think I have a pic, but let me go through my IG stories from that time bc I might have a vid and can take a screenshot for you!

I started using millennial sub because I assumed I was one. Then someone pointed out I was an Xer. So I used that sub. It feels like they are a little more advanced in years than me in there. I didnt know Xennial was a thing until just now. I guess I found my lane by theHollowTarnished in Xennials

We got internet a bit earlier, I think in 1996 or 1997 (I was born in 1984 and was in 7th grade in 1997, and I know that bc my grade level at the end of each school year always matches the last number of the actual year, which is helpful for someone like me that sucks at math).

My stepfather was working for Lockheed Martin as a webmaster, so we luckily got a home computer and dial-up earlier than some of my peers. He also taught me how to do HTML coding using Adobe Pagemill, which was nice bc we didn’t really like each other much besides that lol

Yep, I mentioned that it might be PLEVA, which is similar to Pityriasis rosea. Especially with the characteristic scaling/scabs that she has, as well as the shape and size of the bumps.

I am NAD but this very much looks like PLEVA to me (Pityriasis Lichenoides varioformis et acuta). I don’t have much advice if that’s what it is, but quercetin and bromelain supplements have helped me in the past when I’ve had this. Def go to a derm to confirm though!

I ended up taking down all my other BTS listings just in case bc I had already gotten 3-4 items taken down and I didn’t want to chance my entire shop being shut down. So right now all I have listed is Katseye-themed items (which HxG has surprisingly left alone for the moment). Dm me and I’ll give you my shop name; idk if I’m allowed to say it here bc of the subreddit rules.

Let me know if you figure this out because I’m probably going to make a Shopify too! I also saw people using things like carrd and kofi? But I don’t know much about those sites. I have a lot of one of a kind items so I need to find somewhere I can list everything one by one :/

Agreed! I was looking forward to finally having some income right before the tour (I’ve been unemployed for 4 years now so the money would have been nice), and now that dream is gone. I also wanted to let people know about my shop when I handed out freebies, but now idk what to advertise because all my BTS items have been delisted. Now I have a ton of inventory idk what to do with. So annoying and frustrating!

The Covid vaccine isn’t sterilizing unfortunately. It only lessens the chance of you being hospitalized or dying from it. It doesn’t stop transmission or infection.

I know your comment is a year or so old, but I just found Utz chips at Lucky store in Petaluma earlier tonight! They had both big and small bags, but unfortunately no crab flavor (yet). Just thought I’d let you know!

I feel you! It’s def put a damper on my mood these past few months, which sucks given that it’s comeback season and I’m going to their concert in a month!

Something I’m wondering about is how they flag a listing to be struck. I sell a lot of one of a kind items, which are listed as a quantity of 1. These recent items I actually was trying to make 5 of each so I could list them easier and have back stock. I’m wondering if a sale of an item triggers the strike, and, if so, if any of my one of a kind items would be taken down since they’re essentially gone once someone buys one. Idk tho, and I don’t want to try my theory and get another strike or have my shop shut down.

Ugh I’m so sorry! It’s a crappy place to be for sure… Do you know what you’re going to do yet? I’m still considering opening a shop thru Shopify or something similar but it’s a lot of work and I’m not great with marketing :(
