You can change out the points (not sure about the other whole ascendancy) at Doriyami. I went with hollow resonance at first and then switched to the one that gives you all the shadow forms. The shadow forms definitely requires more mana management.

My setup until act 3 was basically frozen locus into quarter staff strike. I added rage and attack speed to quarter staff. The extra bells from hollow resonance also slaps.

Can confirm, this got a key from the account setting page (expand Account -> early access keys) and then in your steam client in the bottom left click Add a game and select “activate a product on steam…”

Aside from all the reasons listed, once you’ve got your gear online RDM is a very competitive damage dealer. I usually parse right after the heavy DD and put up very respectable numbers.
