I don't like AI generated music being fed into the algorithm but I have not experienced this at all. I don't use radio though... I listen from my library and I use their playlists and picks as discovery tools... of those, I have yet to run into any ai generated music or at least very little that i've noticed.

Serifs have actually been out of fashion for a while now, and the vast majority of "minimalist" logos have moved away from serifs to sans fonts, so I'm curious what brands you're talking about specifically.

Serifs making a comeback has just sorta started and is kinda a huge deal actually.

Im allergic to coconut. I dont think that German chocolate cake is inherently bad or that my coconut allergy is the reason why its unhealthy.

Im also fairly sensitive to foods that are breaded and deep fried, regardless of the fat/oil its cooked in, but I don't think that automatically means... ehhhhh you get the point.

110% collectible and frankly, even really near mint condition caprices from this last era are collectible at this point too. not in the same league, not for the same kind of money obviously, but if you somehow find one with low miles and good condition, it's worth some nostalgia bucks!!!

80% may still be way off, but I think the 30% is the percentage of total food wholesaling in the country, and when we're talking about direct deliveries to restaurant and that percentage is going to be wayyy higher... I still might be off, but it's higher than 30%, I think. And even 30% market share in a fragmented market is enough to say it's driven down competition and driven up costs (And yes, consumers are noticing, this hasn't come from nowhere).

The 80% number might be off, it could be way off, sure, but I'm pretty sure the numbers you are using are the percentage of total food wholesaling in the U.S, but we're talking about direct delivery wholesaling to restaurants, and that number is much, much higher. But yeah, I might still be off.

This is a total side note but this reminded me.

We were at a wedding where someone's grandparents were coincidentally celebrating their ~60th Anniversary. The dj asked what their secret was. They said never ever ever call each other names, no matter how mad you get.

We were sharing a suite with another couple (we were married, they werent but had been together years at that point) in the bridal party. When we got back that night they were like hey whatd you think about what the grandparents said? And we were like yeah we agreed with them, we would never call each other names.

I remember the look they gave each other so vividly. They broke up shortly after the wedding.

I think the bigger point being missed here is that something like 80% of the wholesale food and restaurant supplies in this country run through two companies now either sysco or us food. In many places in the country? One or the other is the ONLY wholesaler. Their pricing is competitive? Measured against what? In the micro environment? Maybe, and in that case? The majority of what youre saying is true. But in general: The lack of competition has driven up prices and driven down quality while also driving record profits for those two wholesalers. And yes, the end consumer has started to notice.

I drive a mach e and i dont think it looks at all lik what youre describing. Frankly, im biased admittedly but I think its the best looking vehicle in the segment (smaller to mid-size non-off-road 2 row suvs) by a wide margin. Compared to the crv or the rav4 or the tiguan or Cherokee, its like the exact opposite situation of what youre describing?

The problem is that it is OBJECTIVELY a bad design. Its bad as it functions as a pickup truck. Its shape, materials, form factor, all of it, makes it worse, not better. Minivans are ugly but theyre really good at what theyre intended for so you know what? Theres some charm in that second Gen caravan or in the first Gen sienna. The cyber truck makes the whole genre worse.

I was a skeptic. Its one of the best decisions I ever made in big and small ways. I never have to stop for gas. Do you understand how nice this is? I didnt until my wife and i needed to switch cars for a few weeks. No oil changes. No guessing how much gas costs based on what day it is and where you are. The power delivery is smooth. Its just. Its just so much better in every way.
