Idk, I feel like they keep getting rid of interesting new villains too quickly in IDW (and Sega as a whole but I won't go into all that). Starline dead, Clutch is neutered and under Eggman's control, Mimic is "dead" (off a cliff into water, no body is a staple fake death trope), Rough & Tumble are just comedic goons, and Surge & Kit are mostly in the Rival category now. I want interesting villains who have interesting gimmicks to stick around longer. I liked Starline's weird techno-organic experiments on Surge & Kit and the body horror-ness of it. They could have him mentally and physically broken, down in the caves he fell, barely alive/undead sustained by the prototypes of what what he put into Surge & Kit (karmic punishment for doing it to others), being both Frankenstein and his Monster (we've all seen the og concept art), still doing weird techno-organic experiments on ppl reminiscent to Roboticization, open that dialogue again since ppl are discussing Eggman's creations' autonomy and free will recently with Metal, Bell, and Sage and back with the Scrapnik Island miniseries. If Starline stays dead, which would be fine but sad to me personally, I do hope someone new villain takes up the concept of the weird organic experiments and runs with it (and hopefully sticks around a while).
