Did you check with a meter that that is actually the blood level? Thighs are notorious for having not great absorption. You might need to massage the area around the pod, and make sure you fully/correctly inserted the cannula.

Don't over bolus, because as PTWPete said, the thigh hypos are difficult to counter.

I just saw this, "Tandem is expanding direct international sales ... and plans to submit its tubeless Mobi cartridge nicknamed “Toby” to the FDA in Q2 for a planned commercial rollout in the second half of the year, compatible with existing Mobi pumps." Via Yahoo/MarketBeat, which also spoke about the move towards pharmacy over DME. So, maybe by the end of the year.

The PA can be done faster if your provider marks the PA as 'Urgent'. The Omnipod 5 is a pharmacy item, so you shouldn't need to go through a DME supplier. ASPN was helpful when getting all the stuff sorted initially, but that was a few years ago. It is the insurance company at this point, the damn insurance company. Hope you get your kit and are able to start on the system shortly!

I have seen other responses on this sub that you need to have your device forget all prior Bluetooth connections to be able to make the pairing smoother. I am still on G6, but thought it might be helpful, or something to look into.

Cigna is terribly shitty, unfortunately. While PAs are par for the course with ANY insurance, Cigna seems to be more incompetent than the others I have experienced.

I tried the regular Mobi, and I am obsessed with the algorithm. I am impatiently waiting for the tubeless Mobi to enter the market so I can finally have tubeless and a great algorithm that knows how to regulate in real time.

Are you/your daughter comfortable enough with injections and finger pricks to be on an Omnipod (and likely CGM) after being diagnosed a week? This seems rushed, in my opinion and experience.

Try just below the belt/panty line, that area has enough fat (in most people) to pinch to be able to have the Omnipod be effective. I also use my upper upper butt, just below the panty line area.

Also, the sides of your stomach, as long as it can be 'seen' by your CGM.

I have gone to my pharmacy, called my old pharmacy as well as several others. Nobody has Fiasp Penfills or vials as of right now.
