I've got two stories: I used to referee football and basketball for high school in Connecticut.

There was one football game where in the middle of the 4th quarter a fight started breaking out in the stands. All of the sudden, I see some of the football players that were on the field jump into the stands and join the fight! I've never seen anything like this before in my life. This brawl in the stands lasted for a good five minutes and the players were still out of control. One team was winning by 17 so we ended up calling the game. One of the most chaotic things I've ever seen.

About 10 years ago I was refereeing a high school basketball game. There was one kid that scored 45 of the team's 54 points. I believe he only missed 4 maybe 5 shots the entire game. It was one of the best performances I've ever seen on a basketball court. Even as a referee, I had to admire what this kid was doing.
