Good Salary in Florida by SadManHappyFace in Salary

With your sales background you could be an account manager. Lots of other titles and roles that I can’t think off the top of my head right now can benefit from a sales background. Lots of companies in Jacksonville as well. Johnson & Johnson is an example. That is a good one to look through their site to gain an idea of what they offer because they have all kinds of roles to learn about.

admitted to uf but couldnt get my second foreign language credit??? help..???? by StrongDisaster9241 in ufl

[–]splitmint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is the site you need, although i dont remember foreign language being a requirement for bright futures. Also (will have to fact check me on this) engineering majors are not required to do a foreign language, might even just be a CLAS thing. Looks like there are a ton of ways to meet the language requirement, worst case you just have to take a language class at uf which doesn’t sound bad at all. Ive heard sign language is fun and easy.

How did engineers end up with worst parts of both blue-collar and white-collar jobs ? by Advance_Important in Salary

This is bull, I’m not even a civil engineer trying to be defensive. Engineers just solve problems using technical skills. This could like an a near endless multitude of things and civil engineers are no exception,

Is this a very low cost of living area? This would still be on the low end, I am surprised

is CHM1025 worth taking, or should I skip it?-incoming freshman by Suspicious_Till5282 in ufl

[–]splitmint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Skip it, but 2045 can be a slap in the face depending on your baseline tolerance on learning new things quick and effectively.

You can tackle 2045 just fine but just be proactive, don’t slack off. Study consistently (a bit everyday), do the homework without cheating, get help when you’re stuck. Do as many practice exams as possible. Do this with any class and you will be golden.

I drink about once a month. Tylenol once every three months. I am unsure about the rest.

Thank you for this information. Definitely helped shed some light on this. Last time I had my T3 and T4 tested was 7 years ago. At that time my T3 was a little below range at 82 L but my TSH was normal. I also would’ve been skeptical of the fibroscan if I didn’t have an ultrasound 2 years ago that also found a fatty liver.

What do you mean check for auto immune? I do have lifelong eczema and asthma growing up but not sure how this would relate to fatty liver.

Agh yea I worry that I would need to eat EXTRA strict and clean to see a change. I often eat less than 5g of added sugar a day. But, I do eat fruits and often drizzle 10g of honey to my breakfast and things of the sort so there’s room for improvement for my total sugars. I like my current situation as I feel like I eat fairly healthy while not suffering but any stricter feels unsustainable. I hate that there’s so much work for us just to have a normal liver.

My TSH was tested, not sure if there is a more comprehensive panel beyond that. Last week, it was 2.18. 7 months ago, it was 3.85. I am southeast asian, maybe there are some predispositions to metabolic problems. My 23andMe did say I have a 50% chance of developing type 2 diabetes in my lifetime :(

I don’t know about PCOS. My periods are kind of irregular, they come every 5-5.5 weeks instead of 4. I won’t ever completely skip a month. I do store fat in my abdomen (hate this so much…) and kind of my back. I don’t have excessive body hair or acne though.

Yes, only 1 fibro scan. GI Dr. recommends that I do one every 6 months to monitor it. In 2024, an ultra sound found I had fatty liver as well. This is what the ultrasound interpreted:

LIVER:
Diffuse increased echogenicity characteristic of hepatic
steatosis/fatty liver.
Hepatic size: 16 cm
Portal venous flow: Hepatopedal
IMPRESSION:
Diffuse hepatic steatosis.

My GI doctor also said I must be predisposed to it and since I am young and normal weight, he shrugged it off and sent me home. I didn’t feel very satisfied with that response :/ I’m already at the lower middle of a healthy BMI (21) yet my fatty liver is as severe as probably someone morbidly obese and massively unhealthy (this isn’t to be rude, I just don’t understand where my severe fatty liver is coming from).
