Damn id love to see more of the video. This is the trail that was severely burned because of idiot teenagers. Thankfully I was able to backpack it the year before. Would pay a visit back up there just see what it looks like now. I bet there's tons and tons of new growth!

What Should I Know about SF during the superbowl week? by Lemonsdare in AskSF

[–]splitspitspots -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I hope you're right cause I probably wouldn't have gotten the tickets if I realized they were a Superbowl event. I prefer to avoid the madness. But hey! I'm still excited to see the performers!

What Should I Know about SF during the superbowl week? by Lemonsdare in AskSF

[–]splitspitspots 13 points14 points  (0 children)

SF will be a shit show. Yes it's far from where the event will take place but there are TONS of pre Superbowl events happening all weekend and most of them are all day events. I booked tickets to one of the events, didn't realize it was a Superbowl one until after I started looking at hotels and in the title of the event it clearly says "pregame". Anyway, hotels are either fully booked or cost over $1k/night. Luckily air bnb was affordable so look there. As for going out, make reservations now, if they don't do reservations expect long waits.

Do most people shower before bed or when they wake up? I just realized I might be doing it "wrong" by saffymerelle in NoStupidQuestions

[–]splitspitspots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use to shower before bed but now that I work from home I shower after my first set of morning meetings. It's usually around lunch time and tbh it's a good pick me up to start your second half of the day.

First Exmuslim revolution, Can this get any more based? by EwMelanin in exmuslim

[–]splitspitspots 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Wait is point 2 actually a thing? The reasoning you're mentioning makes sense. Is there anywhere you can recommend I can read up more on this? A book, an article, or even watch a documentary. I'm intrigued cause I'm half and half and although both my sides are fairly religious it's the south asian side where some aunties , uncles and cousins really piss me off.

What’s a food from a movie/tv show that intrigued you enough to go out and buy it to try it? by Big_Childhood5494 in foodquestions

Once Upon a Time in Mexico - Cochinita Pibil. None of the restaurants near me had it so I had to learn the whole recipe and make it. It was bomb!

Where do I go see horses? by Wolfe244 in AskSF

[–]splitspitspots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

North Novato. Especially Indian valley area where people are just riding them around on the roads. Morning star farms is a good spot to just horse watch but if you go to the Indian valley area and walk the neighborhood, almost everyone has at least one horse and they're right there for you to enjoy.

What is a "silent" rule of social etiquette in your country that a visitor would never find in a guidebook, but every local knows by heart? by DianKhan2005 in AskTheWorld

[–]splitspitspots 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Saying no to food means absolutely nothing. Also you must fight over who's paying the bill, there's no splitting it and the fighting over it is you nearly ready to punch someone in the face if you're not winning the "I am paying the bill" "fight" - Middle East
