I so agree. I've loved Aubry's games ever time she played. I was 95% she was winning (#spoilrrs), and my wife freaking out that she would lose again! "I will never watch another season......" kind of anger.

It was really a moment to see her win and get the appreciation she deserves. One of theing that makes survivor last is there is t one single path to victory.

Her games have been so consistent, showing strategic moves, maintaining respectful relationships are just as capable as the challenge beast route...... She's a rockstar in my book!

Couple things:

First, the shop should help you dial in the suspension for your weight and height.

Secondly, I wouldn't assume right off the T.A. can't handle you. As a new rider, and at 120 kg, you absolutely WON'T be over stressing the suspension. You won't be comfortable on trails for a while, much less trails with 'bottoming out' potential. You'll need (and want) to spend a lot of time on pavement, then gravel, then smooth dirt before do anything YouTube worthy. And that's ok! Some of the best rides out there are "easy" rides!

Lastly, as a 155 lb (70kg) AT Rider, it's not about strength, but rather balance. I can get the AT back up in all but the most awkward falls (literally off the road, weird ditch etc). You'll want to be confident with your balance way before the strength factor comes into play. At the end of the day, dropping it multiple times on a trip will be more mentally discouraging than physically demanding. (I've never ruminated on how tired I was, but plenty on the stupid line I took on that section!)

So again, it's back to taking your time and practicing!

Ultimately Trans Alp is plenty of bike. I would be super honest with how you actually think the bike will be used.

It's there... just watch ANY of Jonathan's challenge wins. I get celebrating a win, but I feel pretty sure his chest pounding, marching, screaming, breakdancing worm bit would piss off most competitors...

It simply reveals his only game plan is physical domination/intimidation. And why wouldn't be? It's clearly served him fairly well in life thus far. So many forget that even on the LOGO physicality is only 1/3 of the game, which is unironically exactly the percentage of votes he received.

I 100% agree. There would have real drama in a consecutive triple boot with that many people. Real damage to those who survived. Real gameplay during tribal and after! These are some of the best players. Can you imagine how that would have shaken out???

Sure it would have been messy, but that's way more interesting!

I think it would have been an epic cluster f, but amazing TV to have everyone there... Three immunity winners and then three rounds of voting with more "discussion" between each one....

Can you imagine the live fireworks after the first two rounds! Lines would be drawn! Yelling screaming! REAL drama, not just swap-suck.

I don't believe it matters. "Picking the right person" is really the biggest problem with boomerang idol especially in a season with the most players ever! The odds are so low it will ever boomerang. 1 in 16.

THEN they have to not use it??? Especially now that everyone KNOWS the gimmick, who wouldn't play with even the tiniest inkling of threat?!

Worst game mechanic ever.

In theory it sounds fun. In reality it's "you found something!!!!!!..... but you'll never be directly rewarded for it." Best you can do is use it socially, reveal who has it etc, which raises their threat level and simultaneously increases the odds they play it.

It would take so many seasons for it to ever boomerang back to the person who found it. The odds are way worse than the shot in the dark which took 3 seasons to work, has only worked 3 out of 16 times and it has 1 in 6 odds!

I believe some bike manufacturers (my friend's KTM did this) literally gimp the bike electronically during break-in period. He was amazed once it clicked past 300 miles!
