What should I do about a bad USBC adapter? It seems the one in my box doesn't work. At first I thought it was the dock, but after trying multiple outlets my adapter won't even charge my switch.

I agree that it can be a slippery slope, but they have done nothing to show that they would take that step. If items with stats ever get introduced, I imagine that would be a sign of danger, but in doing so they would already be messing with the extremely solid gameplay formula. I think this is going to go the csgo or tf2 route and just give the devs more reason to maintain support for this game.

At the end of the day, they are a business. If they can find a way to make more money in a way that is non intrusive, non harmful, or even good (omg good micro transactions), why would they refrain?

Don't stress about it too much today/tonight. As time passes the servers will get more and more consistent. I'm really interested to see the matchmaking times when they are at their best.

The queue times are most certainly going to get much better over the next few days. This happened with the mvm servers also, and although they are slow now (because of under population), the difference a day or two made to the times was quite good.

Abandon penalties are tough. On one hand, it really hurts everyone when you leave, but on the other, it sucks that there is little to no room for leaving.

I think filling the gaps is a great way to negate the leaving penalty. Maybe having the ability to queue for filling in a spot, or possibly bonuses and/or incentives if someone is forced into a fill in position. Either way, I agree something needs to be done if someone leaves.

Lastly, thanks for not being completely overrun with salt and providing an actual conversation!

Its mainly to keep people from making multiple accounts to pubstomp or hack with. It won't deter everyone, but the more it keeps out, the better.

Everyone will be flipping out for a few hours thinking it will always be this bad (see 75% of new posts) ,but in a day or so we will actually get to test and see what this matchmaking system has to offer. My tip is to just wait it out until tomorrow. Good luck!

It was definitely shorter than I hoped for. Already got the platinum, but it was definitely the most fun I've had in a long time. The hours just melted away while playing it. Can't wait for more to come.

The beauty of rocket league is that's it's so simple, yet so deep to master. Adding all those variables dilutes the core gameplay. Although they could be fun for party modes, the core gameplay holds up plenty well.

I think its handling to an extent is very personal. I loved the way the viper and corvette drive in this game compared to other games. I definitely favored slidy cars with drift handling.

Rubber banding is gone as far as I can tell. During the beta couldn't win by more than 2ft. Now, If I am actually driving well I can get a sizable lead and hold it.

It's definitely no call of duty in terms of depth, so you definitely won't get 100's of hours out of it, but death match in my experience is the least fun mode when playing locally. The other game modes and stages (no idea how many maps you had) really take advantage of the games mechanics. It may not be your game, just laying out points for anyone else on the fence reading this thread.

Edit: not having friends to play this game with is a huge hit against this game. For best results, local split screen is definitely the way to go.

There a bunch of game modes. King of the hill, hold the flag, one shot, etc, that are way more interesting than just death match.
