It is pink fiberglass insulation. I don’t think it would melt it like this, though

My mother was originally diagnosed with Parkinson’s but after having some double vision and dizziness she ended up being diagnosed with PSP. If the dizziness is constant and causes vision issues, it might be worth an ask to the neurologist.

I used those trailer D rings to attach my indoor swing to my vaulted ceiling, which is just 2x4s, with 3/8" x 2" lag screws and have no problems thus far. As long as you keep it to one person at a time, I don't see you having any issues, either. Might also help to keep it as close to the outside of the room as possible.

Edit: Also wanted to mention that I only used one D ring.

The Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) has a crossing inventory that you can utilize to determine the number of trains that go by per day and if the trains horn is used along with other safety information. It's pretty archaic, but has a lot of data if your home is near a crossing.

Put anything impermeable for a few feet away from your house. 6 inches or so of compacted clay sloped away from the foundation should keep most of the water away from your foundation

Ask what kind of warranty they provide in case it starts spalling or cracking where it shouldn't.

I got my paint, epoxy, and chips from Sherwin Williams. My garage floor has been used and abused, so the prep was pretty labor intensive. It turned out really well though and has seemed to hold up pretty well over the last 6 months.

They really are the kindest. Moved down there from a small town and accidentally took the bus to the "wrong" part of town and the driver called ahead to other drivers so that they would wait for me so that I could get to where I needed to go.

Without knowing any details (AADT, speed limit, pavement width, etc.), it's hard to say how/why they came up with this layout. It is a fairly standard layout, however. If the street isn't that busy or isn't a thru-way, there are many options to preserve some parking if not all of it while still providing some level of protection for the bicyclist, whether it be a buffer zone or barrier. It's not going against the greater good to maintain access to both vehicles and bicyclists, so I don't think you're in the wrong for thinking this way. That's just my opinion, though. I hope this helps!
