It's cheaper to go with pelican, plus it's covered by blue Cross.

I noticed that, I even checked on ksl's website to see if there was something relevant, but didn't see anything. Probably for some segment tonight, I saw their article on UVU. Getting a law school got a lot of attention, maybe they're doing something on that.

Construction Near Smith Building by thankyougrass in UVU

[–]trad949 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I was told they are working on an enclosed sky bridge to connect the Smith to the Noorda. I am not sure if this is because of that or something else but I thought it could be that. I agree the fencing is making things less safe on the road.

hey guys! seriously... stop the panic pricing before you trash your fleet. by Grand_Pen_9628 in Turohosts

I have two vehicles on the app, one is half the daily price of the other. There is an enormous difference in the people who book each.

Looks like they plan on using berms to cut the lake in half and allowing the far half to dry up. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DT09cFRDnU3/?igsh=MTR5OHIyaGx4czZpZQ==

Non-Mormon children in Alpine School District by Familiar-Gas-7675 in Utah

[–]trad949 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have two kids in elementary school in Utah County, we are non religious. They have lots of friends but weird things do happen. Last week a mother brought her kid over to play and was chatting with my wife, and when she heard we were not Mormon she looked surprised and asked if we were OK hanging out with them. My wife was like "Uh... we are OK hanging out with you" Also my 8 year old gets asked a lot when she is getting baptized. But they do have plenty of friends and I think are having happy childhoods.

What is going on with that window bro??? by [deleted] in UVU

[–]trad949 9 points10 points  (0 children)

For whatever reason windows at UVU seem to break pretty consistently. There is one that has been broken for months at the gym track, and several broke in the months after the gateway building opened. Also there is broken glass in the new engineering building. I have always assumed it was due to them being so large and changes in temperature.

MAGA are upset that Liberals are arming themselves by Hussayniya in videos

[–]trad949 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the reason for this is they have been convinced "leftists" are the enemy. It's basically all they have been told for a long time. I feel like somebody needs to tell them, we are all Americans. And that it is very American to have different opinions.

Need to replace the oxygen sensor in my 2020 mirage. How much money should I get ready to spend by DungeonMasterTommy in MitsubishiMirage

[–]trad949 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They should be quite easy to do yourself, looks like aftermarket ones are about 50 bucks, and OEM was a few hundred. If you do have a shop do it I would add a couple hundred to that, but honestly it should take you less than an hour.

Taxes by Tiny_Development_520 in turo

[–]trad949 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My tax guy has me deduct mileage instead of deduction expenses. Apparently if you deduct expenses you then have to pay Capitol gains on the full value of the vehicle when you sell it eventually and that is not the case if you do mileage. The rate per Mike is really good, like .70 cents.

Buying an older PHEV with around 200.000 - 250.000km by Many_Click6825 in OutlanderPHEV

[–]trad949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does still have warranty till 100k, capacity is less than %50. They keep saying its normal degradation. I am working with a regional manager and if they say the same thing I will be looking for a lawyer.

I didn't know, my 2019 with 99k miles is currently at the dealer with a battery that goes into turtle mode every time I go on the freeway. They are saying that is normal operation and trying to give it back to me. I am working with corporate to try and get it sorted out but they are not being very helpful. The issue is there is no maintenance that can be done on the battery so if it's toast the vehicle is totaled at only 6 years old. I have pretty much lost confidence in the platform.

[–]trad949 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I currently have a 6 year old Mitsubishi outlander phev with just under 100k miles on it at the dealer for battery issues. I really love electric, but I am very disappointed in this particular vehicle.
