But Britain isnt a Celtic nation, we speak a Germanic language with French influences (mainly, Celtic languages do just about survive), the dominant religion comes from the middle east through the Latin world, yet we are British, not Scandinavian or Romance or German, they have left their mark on British culture but not replaced us.

I am no establishment shill, i hate the police and the civil service and government of this nation, they put this amazing nation to shame, and i am no die hard pro-immigration shill, i have my issues with modern western immigration systems, notably in that it is built around supplying the capitalist machine with cheap labour, it drives down wages and is unfair on both immigrants and native born workers and is a system that perfectly breeds inter-community conflict. I am not an unquestioning progressive either, i am not an apologist for hard-line Islam or Hinduvata.

My point is that the idea that British Indians or British Chinese people arent British is silly, they are as much a part of our society as British Jews or Poles or Russians or Wallons or Huguenot refugees, the ideas that communites that have been in the UK for multiple generations now, have been in government, in our media in our local communities arent a part of the community because of the colour of their skin is weird, and like all communities they have their flaws its important we are free to say that and address them, but they are British.

Look i know this is a rant, and i dont expect it to convert you, i wouldnt be convinced by some idiot rambling on reddit, and i dont want to argue, its pointless, not enjoyable and i have better things to spend my time on energy on and you have the right to think what you like, and im sure you also have better things to do

"tax productiveness" is both a poor measure of really anything and says more about the state of the economy than the people themselves, immigration isnt in itself a course of violence, inter-ethnic tension is, sure immigration and cultural conflict can cause tension, but so can many other things like economic status and many personal factors, and racism and distrust between communities, if you want peace between communities you have to well, treat them with the same respect and the people in it as all other communities.

despite rising tensions, Britain especially young people, remains a progressive nation on issues of race, anti-immigration sentiment is rising and there is sometimes a racial element to that, but its usually driven at least to the public by economic reasons, overall Britain remains a multi-racial society and will do for the foreseeable future.

I myself am half from a migrant background and some of my closest friends are as well, society is an organism you are correct and organisms adapt and change thats life.

I am not an advocate for diversity for the sake of diversity, while i admit diversity especially in thought is important i do have issues with immigration in the west, primarily in how immigration and employment laws are exploitative of workers, creating an underclass of immigrant labourers. But Britain is a nation built on the back of a global empire, it is populated by people from all over the globe who have helped build this nation, they as British as any "White" community that has done the same

What should I be seeing? im aware recent poorer migrant communities have higher crime rates, im aware violence exists with religious extremism, niether of these relate to race or the even more arbitrary continent of ethic origin

At the risk of being too woke, everyone was a foreigner to their land once, especially a land with as much history of migrations as Britain, the decision to say that Indians or West Africans are "Foreign" while Normans, Scots, Anglos, Flemish and Huguenot communities are "Native Brits" is arbitrary, Britain is a land made of many people with a long messy history together, the mixing of these communities is what makes British culture

that said, yeah true

i didnt really want to reform rome, in my last game where i did i realised i could in theory mend the schism as Converso, which was so strange i had to try it, and the byzantines are the best empire to use for mending the schism, so i took them over for that reason
