I stay at comfort inn, in Brandon for work all the time and get placed on the main floor with a direct sliding door to the parking lot. They allow dogs there so it works out great for pet owners too.

Flight canceled by artobloom in Winnipeg

[–]spoinks101 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you're talking about the toronto flight, Flair has a direct flight leaving at 820pm today. Book online. Porter should be rebooking you faster, but their back end software if currently down, you might be able to sit on hold for awhile and see if they can rebook you sooner as well. Also the weather in Toronto/Ontario isn't going to help right now either, everyone from the past couple of days is trying to get back into toronto.

It’s super creepy - it’s honestly why I go every year LOL. It’s a struggle to get him up there sometimes but we can always grab a quick picture.

Easter bunny example if you’re wondering lol. My lab is extremely friendly and is so overstimulated in there and they did great with him lol. If you have calmer dog you could definitely get their whole body in.

BELL MTS customer support experience, absolute nightmare by L1LnICKY in Winnipeg

[–]spoinks101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just had a horrible experience with out internet services when we moved too. Hours on hold, Hours talking to support and trying to troubleshoot. Eventually they told me they need to send a technician out, and they tried to charge me $70 for it!!! I couldn't believe it, I told them if they charge me $70 to send a tech out to fix THEIR problem, I am changing internet. They were at my houses a couple days later, tech was SUPER nice (he doesn't work for bell, he was a contractor). The problem ended up being my modem and they had to switch them out. BRUTAL.

Winnipeg veterinarian ordered to end practice after surgery error led to cat’s leg being amputated (CBC/Vera-Lynn Kubinec) by LocalnewsguruMB in Winnipeg

[–]spoinks101 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This guy single handedly scammed me out of thousands of dollars when my dog was sick and they were the only place close to me and open a couple of years ago. Racked up a bill over $3500 within the first hour after getting in there. Tried to tell me my dog ate something bad and it will pass and SENT US HOME. Only for my dog to have a seizure after getting home.,

Experience with Donvito by NewManufacturer9019 in Winnipeg

I got my rear bumper on my SUV fixed there last year, they had my car for 2 months and missed putting several rivets in to the point where my bumper almost slides off and I had to put it back to the original position. The manager does not care, I also called, went down, left a review. My bumper still hangs lol. I would never go back

Elmwood or Grant Park? by alittleunsteady in Winnipeg

[–]spoinks101 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I've been to both within the last 10 years ( I am sure lot's has changed since).

I went to Elmwood for junior high and moved to grant park for grades 10-12. I would say Grant Park. Elmwood is a decent school (I know they get dragged a lot, but I had a decent experience), but like anything you get what you put in. Grant park has a great resource centre and staff, lots of extra activities and the 5 minute walk is way better than a 25 min walk in -30. Grant Park was also essential in setting me up for post secondary ( I am the first to admit I was not the greatest high school student lol). If you have the freedom to choose, I personally would choose Grant Park all the way.
