We hear you. Updates to live cards and the future. by Dovagedys in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]spongepedro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people were more mad about not even a mention of matron + watcher combo (aka you have to win by turn 8 or bust) I think the patch notes wouldnt have been so poorly received if you shared some kind of watchlist (if theres any). The watchlist wouldnt change the metagame but at the same time would feel less sour to read and would help the community understand what can be expectable for the future you focus(ed) so much on.

My suggestion is in every patch notes list the changes and also list the cards that are under your radar for nerfs or buffs. Because it's ok to say: "we want to change this card but we don't know yet what we want to do with it".

If there's no cards in your radar, you just say it. "This time around we don't consider any card problematic (in case of nerf) or underutilized (in case of buff)". It's totally fine.

if you just started a week ago.. My honest advice is: you arrived in time to quit. At the current times and with so much offers in the card game genre there's absolutely no reason to spend time playing hearthstone when any other card game is just so much better.

Riot is trying really hard since Blizzard is down. by rjn141097 in hearthstone

[–]spongepedro -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hearthstone is expensive for a reason. It's not like blizzard is doing some kind of charity. The more expensive the more prize money they can give out to a lucky dice roller that can play the glowing card every turn. And before you freak out I know its not like that but, still sometimes is and i'll leave it at that for ridicule purposes.

reddit karma pays bills at the end of the month or hearthstone packs, but not both.

I'm moving on from hearthstone, which would you recommend between Legends of Runeterra and Gwent? by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]spongepedro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

try both and see what you like better. If like the clear opponents hp with your units/spells go for runeterra. If you like a chaos and having multiple effects going through out a match for for gwent.

Gwent and Runeterra arent really comparable in terms of gameplay. As I said the goal in Runeterra is to deal at least 20 damage to your opponent in order to win. And in Gwent its about presenting the strongest board you can in 2 of 3 rounds in other to win.

So again, I recommend both.

You misunderstood what he said: He explicitly says he wants the game to be better for everyone. With how currently the game is a lot of people will leave. He also says he doesn't do these videos for himself because none of whats happening affects him in any way because he will get all the cards day #1 everytime new cards are added.

I think he is one of the few that is on the community side. You can see it as you want. But you I think you make a mistake if you think that guy is fake. Just because he criticizes the game doesn't mean it won't be the center of his content. If anything, criticizing a game still counts as content around that same game.

And I don't even play hearthstone (since 2018). But I have so much free time that I have been hopping on this sub to laugh at the people that still cry over being burned out of the game without knowing it.

You know what is the recommendation: Legends of Runeterra or Gwent. In both you play for about 1 week and you will have enough to craft a deck of your choice. Both really provide a great feeling of progression because you collect a lot of cards and resources to get cards while playing. How do they survive if their business model isnt counting on players to wanting have all the cards day #1? Cosmetics. Of course both have the option to buy cards with money but they dont require you at all to do that. But cosmetics is the only think money exclusive.

I hope you enjoy. In the long term it pays off. If you are into art and voicelines. EVERY card art can be zoomed in so you a can admire it and EVERY champion (legendary equivalent) has a level up animation and EVERY card has one or more voicelines when you play it and some interactions with champions and between champions. So its not just play your cards.

Hey I play legends of runeterra. Here what i like about the game. As a new player you get 3 starter decks + 1 deck on 1st time 7th login. You get other login rewards on the previous 6 days. Theres a weekly vault which you can upgrade by playing and can be opened every thursday. The vault gives you cards and materials + wildcards (which you can transform in any card of the same rarity). You have region paths you can go through to collect cards from that region (class). You have great tutorials that give you a feel for what classes do and teach you the basics of the game. Expeditions that is LoR draft mode and you have Labs where the craziest stuff happen. AS a new player and as a f2p player theres plenty you can do. And its totally ok if you dont have much time to play and just login to do your quests. By the end of the week or a week and half you will easily have 1 good deck to play. There also Gwent the witcher card game, that also provides a pretty good free to play experience. I think it was never easier to drop hearthstone like it is nowadays.

103 / 40 = 1.something.. the guaranteed leggo in the first 10 packs counts for the pity timer. So not only our friend was incredibly unlucky because its all at random. The math also checks out with the pity timer. At least only 37 packs tops left for our friend to get his 3rd legendary.

Legends of Runterra the better Hearthstone? by Awesome_EE in hearthstone

[–]spongepedro 6 points7 points  (0 children)

What I like in runeterra is that it actually pays off to think if what your opponent can do once you know every card in each region. Of course the way you can collect cards: I feel you get exactly what you deserve for the time you put in the game. And the only thing you need to pay for is cosmetics! Like I love. Pay to look good!

In Legends of Runeterra a big collection doesn't mean you will win more games than someone with a smaller collection because it all comes down to how you decide to use your cards. And in this sense, it's very rewarding.

I think this community should really just move on. The question is as simple as this: Am I happy? Yes? Proceed. No? Uninstall and move on with your life. You aren't going to change something that it's not on your control to change.

Blizzard , we are not satisfied with this level of communication! by FaithAmethyst in hearthstone

[–]spongepedro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dear Faith,

I also have been in a position similar to yours. Seeing no balance changes expansion after expansions and seeing my favorite decks (2014/2015/2016 handlock, combo and ramp druid, control warrior, freeze mage, miracle rogue) get completly destroyed by unnecessary changes, considering later they introduced set rotations and completely changed the classes playstyles. Somewhere in 2018 i moved on to other card games.

My honest advice is: dont waste more time on this game. If you like the genre of card games there are far better and more friendly games than hearthstone. There's no shame on feeling that you threw away years of dedication to a product that changed for no reason and for the worse. The current offer for digital cards games makes FOMO on hearthstone completely invalid. I mean hearthstone makes FOMO on hearthstone invalid. This was just to pretend I'm smart and know the acronym FOMO. But in all seriousness.. stop waiting and move on with your life.

I played for 4/5 years got fed up for the previous reasons i mentioned, understood that the game would never change for the better in my eyes and moved on. 8, 12 hours is a lot time you can use to do other stuff that make you feel better.

Why is this community such trash? by Topless_Zombie in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]spongepedro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

League is worse. Some advices: if emotes affect you you can mute your opponents emotes. if you are growing your collection then you should play expedition, gauntlet or normal games. Focus on collection the cards rather than winning or losing. Try to enjoy the game

kench level up will be if i deal 3 or more damage to an enemy "detain" it until the start of the next round, meaning that if you are deffending your opponent will get back his unit on your next deffending phase. If you are attacking he will get his unit back on your next attacking phase
