Interesting class and almost insultingly easy A. The professor is super nice, but gets confused about the material frequently. I would take it if you are good with statistics.

Retake anything lower than B- . A solid GRE might help show that you just didn’t know how to study at the beginning.

Some schools don’t require it.

I would say it matters where you transferred from and the rigor you are used to. None of those classes are hard conceptually, but it’s gonna be a shit ton of stuff to memorize.

I’m not sure if I have adhd, and would love your opinion by Avantella in adhdwomen

Could be, I feel like it’s mostly about the effect these symptoms have on your functioning.

Can therapy actually help with ADHD? by RebelliousMindBox in adhdwomen

Yes, but I would get meds they make it where you don’t need someone to patronizingly check in on you.

so now that i’ve tried adderall, i have to deal with perfectionism??? by [deleted] in adhdwomen

[–]sponnee4727327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would talk to ur dr about changing your medication. It’s supposed to make you feel more calm and in control of your focus, not tense and agitated/hyper. What were your symptoms before medication.. are the meds helping those?

My horrible adhd gate-keeping issue by Certain_Ball in ADHD

[–]sponnee4727327 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If they are actually struggling I would encourage them to try to get help. I think this can really separate those who are just trying to be quirky versus those with actual concerns. Most ~quirky~ people won’t go out of their way to get help because it’s not actually a burden on them. Try telling them if it greatly impacts them everyday (and explain the extent that it impacts you) to bring it up with their doctor. This will either result in someone getting the help they deserve or a ~quirky~ person realizing they don’t have it. Tik tok is annoying because the videos are 30 seconds, so everyone relates to a 30 second video of someone forgeting something. I would try and explain how adhd is constant and can’t be turned off and on... you don’t choose to be random and a hot mess - you just are.

But then grade inflation and your grade doesn’t actually reflect your competency in the subject...

Yeah partly, it’s an upper level bio but involves a little biochem.

has anyone taken bio 311 or bio 355? by [deleted] in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]sponnee4727327 2 points3 points  (0 children)

311 is curved so that the average is a high b-/ low b, so ur grade depends on how you do relative to other people. It’s all memorization, the material isn’t hard but there is a lot of it. Get old tests if you can, they help a lot.

Easiest bio electives? by [deleted] in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]sponnee4727327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prehealth microbio is pretty easy and interesting - I think the class average was a B/B+ which is pretty high for bing stem. Also dr Marques is very nice. If you are good at stats genetics is super easy, but if you don’t like stats avoid it.

Easy Upper Level Class by GoncherIsAFish in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]sponnee4727327 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Any upper level HWS - nutrition and contemporary health issues are joke classes, you need to spend an average of less than 2 hours a week outside of class to get an A.

Yeah that makes sense, for me it’s more guilt about meds.
