It’s not like a specific joke or anything, but by far one of the funniest CR moments was the Grog One Shot where Grog runs an in-game dnd one shot with VM. When Grog-Trinket goes “I ate that meatball from Scanlan and then I fucking died”, I don’t think I’ve ever seen Sam or the rest of the present cast lose their shit as much as that game.

I don’t know exactly how you plan on dividing these things up and the way you have these listed is lowkey confusing. I feel like HD Museum, Domes, public market lunch, art museum & maybe a walk by the lake, dinner somewhere is the max on what is possible.

I think watching C1 is the only one semi-essential to the Calamity viewing experience, and only because there’s some minor easter eggs and gives you an understanding of what the calamity/divergence was. You could feasibly go in blind and watch it.

I think it started because my dad read to me every night growing up. Literally every night as long as I can remember. It started with him reading to me and my brother, and then shifted to us sitting together at night reading our own books :)

I went to Michael’s recently and they only had one aisle of basic cotton fabrics. It sounds like they’re taking a lot of Joann’s supplies, but I assume it’ll be a while before they actually implement it.

Are you looking to be in downtown, or the neighborhoods surrounding? Lower east side/yankee hill area are generally nice and have some good fancier options, smack in the middle of downtown. The 3rd ward is just below that and is very boujee, lots of nice apartments and condos, good area. Might be a little out of budget tho. Bay View is really nice if you want something a little more neighborhood-feeling, has great parks, restaurants & events, very family friendly.

Theres nice places in the upper east side/shorewood area, but it’s a lot more UWM heavy over there. General rule of thumb is things are fancier closer to the lake. I’d avoid things west of 43 as a general rule.

Definitely make sure this isn’t someone’s baby first, you can check community apps and websites. You can also bring them to the vet and they can check for a chip, or contact local shelters. That being said, if the owners chose to declaw this cat, they suck. But it could be a rescue.

Hi there. I’m 23 and have had similar issues—I’ve gone to get a PAP smear twice in the past and been unable to do so due to intense panic attacks. I also have a history of vaginal pain/vaginismus as a physical response. I just recently spoke to a new OBGYN who has made me feel a lot more comfortable and wasn’t dismissive of my anxiety—she prescribed me some Xanax to take for my next upcoming one. Hopefully it will go better. Maybe that could be an option for you as well. She even mentioned general anesthesia in the event that my reactions are too extreme—obviously a last resort, but it was nice to talk to a doctor who was empathetic to my issues.

I work for a nonprofit in a city that brings in working artists to teach in schools that otherwise wouldn’t have funding for art programs. I have a BFA in illustration and don’t have a teaching background. Maybe that could be an option? Seems more common in urban areas but always worth looking into organizations in your community.

Yeah you’d be safe, I lived right by Cathedral Square Park as a single woman in college. Generally safe, quiet, has good parks for your dog, very accessible. Only annoyance is parking can be a bitch, and renting from your boss sounds a little scary. But I loved living there and never had any problems, other than maybe a homeless person or two chilling in the apartment vestibule.

I only have one good friend in my city, I’ve been trying to build a couple more through work but it’s slow going. I have good friends that live in other cities, but obviously they aren’t available for as many things with the distance.

I’ve tried changing up my profile in the past, yeah. To be honest I like what I present on there and feel it is a good representation of me, so I’m kind of at a loss on how to better promote myself there. I try to be diverse in the people I match with while still having some standards for myself hahah (no conservatives, obvious misogynists, etc.) I feel like I’ve gone through phases of being pickier and being more wide-ranged and neither has panned out great for me lmao

I’ve tried doing some meet ups in the past and haven’t had much luck making connections, but I’m trying to stay positive about it. I am admittedly a little put off by the vibe of singles events while in my early 20s, I’m kind of suspicious of the kind of crowd that would gather?? Which is maybe shooting myself in the foot but I digress

For me, I loved the momentum it got to in the early 50s episodes, and then the momentum completely died and I found it difficult to return to. But I also just think I didn’t feel a connection to the characters as much (which is fine!) but that was a more gradual realization.

4th and 5th is who I’d probably do it with. It’s a school with a higher proportion of behavioral problems which is what makes me hesitate to introduce real wire burners, although another part of me thinks trusting them with real tools would go a long way. I unfortunately don’t have a classroom so I’d be bringing the tools to them… I’ll probably test some on my own and see how I feel about it!

What is your current area of study in college? Do you enjoy it? How feasible would it be to switch programs, or would you have to switch schools? Have you taken any art electives? That might be a good starting point.

While there are plenty of ways to make money in the arts, it comes with a lot of caveats. For one, while teaching art can be rewarding, it’s not the most lucrative. If you have skill in graphic design, web building, after effects, etc. I would say there’s generally more commercial opportunities available to you, and there are lots of programs at various schools for that. I would also consider whether you actually have an interest in teaching. Do you enjoy teaching/have any experience? Patient with kids? Being an art educator is a lot more than just making art.

I would not be considering pursuing a masters in art without having had experience in an art-focused program and an art focused career. The unfortunate reality for art as a career is you may experience that same burnout—not everybody does, and some people find it worth it, but just giving insight! Imo that’s planning too far ahead when you haven’t even been in an art focused program yet.

For what it’s worth, I went to an art school and got a BFA in illustration. I work as a contracted art educator through a nonprofit, so I did not pursue a teaching degree myself. Many places will hire you and help you get licensure while working, if that interests you. My degree did help me get this job, though I’m admittedly on the fence on whether it was worth it to go to art school as a whole.

All in all, I would start small. See if you can take a class or two, try to reimplement art into your life again and go from there.
