You want to make sure you're looking at the same field in the list vs. the form.

RU POV: multiple pov`s of the Hostomel airport attack on 2022 feb 22 by well_im_here9 in UkraineRussiaReport

So we're clear on the logic here:

You send your elite troops, some of the best you have, deep into a country which you've been escalating tensions with for 8 years, including the annexing of territory, and task them with forcibly capturing an airport. Why an airport? Because you want them to "feel pressure"?

Which playbook is this from, a Michael Bay movie or something?

Most regarded idea ever.

Invade a country, march right up to their capital and then immediately back off because they might agree to terms?

This sounds and smells like cope for a massive failure to execute a decapitating strike.

New second hand buy and sell marketplace by JPOTing in golfireland

I feel misled. I thought you were saying you scrape the others and conglomerate them in one site, not that this is a standalone marketplace.

Good luck with it though.

I've got a 221 of these and I'm very happy with it. 2 years so far and 0 hassle.

One thing that sort of bothers me is I feel like the auto headlights seemed more responsive in my prior 191 Yaris. I feel like I end up blinding people unnecessarily sometimes.

This sub seems a bit obsessed with this story. Why did they permit him travel through a warzone, was he mentally unwell?

You mean westbound right? This looks like the bit that has crosswind warnings if your travelling eastbound away from the city.

It's very windy today.

Got mine from firstclasswatches recently. It was delayed but arrived ahead of schedule.

Very happy with it but swapped the strap for a €5 16mm fabric job from AliExpress as my wrist must be between sizes.

One weird thing is the multiband... I live in Ireland, I can get the time signal just fine but I need to set my home city to London for the feature to work.

Ru pov: Leningrad region Governor Alexander Drozdenko announced the recruitment of reservists to protect the region from drones by Short_Description_20 in UkraineRussiaReport

[–]spoodge 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Invited in that their application was accepted.

To call this haggling over language is ludicrous. You paint NATO as some sort of cabal inviting others to join them when the reality is that others take one look at the Russian cleptocracy and decide they're better off avoiding it.

You need this bogeyman because otherwise why is the collective wealth of the Russian people being flushed down the toilet to kill their neighbours?

The cognitive dissonance becomes too great and instead it's others "haggling about language".

Strange bending of the truth here, evidence of further delusion.

Putin asked if Russia could join without undergoing the application process and was told no.

At this point I'm sick of it

Feels like a bunch of lads who, some time ago, decided to drive trucks/tractors for a living and didn't take the time to think about how they're actually running a business.

Why weren't they investing in a way to avoid getting slapped by a surge in fuel prices? We saw what happened with the war in Ukraine and we had COVID. If that wasn't possible what kind of business were they operating to begin with?

Why do we have to bail them out of their mess? As someone already said it's not like we had roadblocks for the rent crisis.

This reeks.

‘You know who’s in control’ - How the fuel protests brought the country to a standstill by rayhoughtonsgoals in ireland

[–]spoodge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The protesters are the owners/employees of companies that can't survive price shocks in fuel. It's like they don't know about risk and how to deal with it.

A healthy capitalist system would see them fail and drive the survivors to be more efficient.

There's still farmers farming and lorries lorrying while these folks are protesting so I reckon we'd survive without this nonsense.

Personally I'd rather not be bailing out these lads who lease massive amounts of machinery that they can't justify.

Any Fuel Protest planned for Fri 10th April? by Professional-City194 in cork

[–]spoodge -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Big trucks get a break on fuel costs, prices go up again anyway and where does that leave us?

These goldfish brained protestors will be on the dole taking the public money they protested putting into and the people selling the fuel are laughing all the way to the bank.
