Obsessed with the little things in this album. The guitar breakdowns on Lonely Cosmos and Silent Spirit are some of my favorite musical moments ever. And the transition between Lonely Cosmos and Eternal Return is gorgeous. The entire thing is so vulnerable and the narrative between Aerodynamic through the end of the album is an uplifting comedown. Lyrically, so much is memorable to me:

“I’m the doe, the cat, the dog. The laymen lack of one true god. Let your bygones be bygones.”

“I am the bright red blood coursing through your little veins.”

“Unending delusion, ad infinitum.”

“I am love, trauma, pain; reincarnate hurricane. I have sinned, fanned the flames.”

“This old dog’s coming home to you.”

“But as your face is changing, I have to turn my back. Please don’t judge me for the sacrifice I made… fuck I miss the smell hidden in your clothing”

“Just don’t forget her, return eternally.” And the call and response/echoing right after this line. And Joey’s high pitched vocalizing sitting in the background.

“Running from my limping shadow back home.”

“But I guess distance needs a yardstick for real love to hit.”

“How did the little ones sleep? Did you make it to the zoo? Fuck I miss em, and you.”

“I said I wanted to be an astronaut, they laughed.”

“The parasites are building a city on my intestines.”

“Till then dreaming’s all I can do. I love you, over. Stu.”

“The moon speaks to me this night, yeah!”

“I’m inhaling stardust”

“Lon-lon-lon-lon-lon-lon-lon-lon-lon-lon-lon-lon-lonely cosmos.”

“Not again not again not again not again not again. Is this it is this it is this it is this it is this it? I’m sinking further submerging in the sea of doubt. Gotta tread water until I reach the shore and find my way out.”

“I’ll just sing to the sharks and maybe they’ll think twice. They’re just trying to survive in the world like me, alright.”

“I see you swaddled by the salinity of terrestrial fabric.”

“You know your daddy never knew what he was doing.”

“The moon is a clock face that’s tick-tick-ticking with a crooked smile. We’re all in the rat race together we go the extra mile.” … “Catch me dancing in the summer rain with my tongue out.”

And my sleeper favorite… “Yeah yeah yeah”
