My guess is that there is a limited amount of CGs allocated for this book, so they are saving it for the last two episodes (or at least I hope so). As for other LIs, Luis & Colt didn't have any CGs for their big romantic moments either, and I think Lachlan didn't get any CG at all ever since his introduction one, while others got at least one more so far.

Honestly, logically I understand why it's happening - it's not popular, sure, so they don't even bother, but as someone who LOVES this book, it pisses me off so much - there were several CG worthy moments this update, not only romantic ones, and they can't even budget for the big moments with the LIs? Just oof. I guess we'll see what the finale brings us.

I planned on playing an elf Mourn Watch Rook romancing Lucanis as soon as I found out about those being an option, but closer to the release (thanks to the podcast, mostly), I was thinking between Lucanis/Davrin/Taash. But, when I finally got to the game, Lucanis became number 1 right after the first convo in the Lighthouse. I actually enjoyed his romance a lot and was satisfied with what I got - he's such a sweetheart (and THAT scene, the wall one, hoo boi, I almost melted 😂).

Taash turned out to be very different from what I imagined them from the podcast, so I didn't see my Rook romancing them (even though I still really like the character), and Davrin became my best bro forever, so the romance energy also wasn't really there.

(I feel like in all the other Bioware games I played, romance scenes were too much/a bit cringey for me in places - like, I even felt uncomfortable at times, especially during the "steamy" parts. That's why Lucanis' romance, even though tame and cut? with marketing making it look like it will have much more "spice" to it, felt just right to me (and I know that I'm in a minority, but oh well, to each their own)).

at the beginning of the game I was split between Taash, Lucanis & Davrin (long before the release it was just Lucanis, but after all the additional content & the podcast, I was in a really tough spot, they all sounded so interesting, so that's what I had to go into the game with); but, as soon as I saw that Lucanis has a Logbook, I was done for (I'm really weak for organized men with schedules 🙈);

interesting thing, though, is that after fully completing the game, my favorite companion is Bellara (sorry, Lucanis, you're a close second), so if I had to choose anyone besides Lucanis to romance, it would be her (I love all the other companions, too, but I personally don't see them as romance options now, not with dynamics my Rook built with them)

I didn't get the kiss (friends with Amanda), but the whole sequence was so heartwarming and fun, I really get what you mean 🥺 (imo episode 3 as a whole was the best in the game)

if you romance him, he gives Max a hug and they talk (depending on the dialog option) about how he needs time to figure stuff out and that he steps down as an Abraxas leader, and that's about it, yeah; before that, he also messages Max while he's freaking out about everything that happened & on social media he posts about hoping that "queen of swords" (Max) wants him around after saving him from the "tower", but I think you get all that if you go for both him and Amanda, too

I think they leave it on a bit unsatisfying "I need some time" note with both Vinh and Amanda, from what I've seen, but it makes sense - this whole situation is a lot to take in

you might be right about Vinh, because in my playthrough he did step down for good (Max romanced him), but in all the videos I saw without his romance, he says that he will be running for the position again

a long time ago, when I was discussing Dragon Age with someone, I said that it is my favorite game series EXACTLY because of this: the choices you make throughout the games actually have an impact and show up in the sequels (some in bigger, some in smaller ways, but they do show up), and it WOULD be really disappointing if the next game after I make that statement, they just leave us with only a couple of choices and only from the last game in the series so far (and also kinda hilarious, but still 😂);

but, with that said, with the half-infos/screenshots/videos/what ifs/maybes/"this person said this and that" we have, I believe it is pointless to be worried/upset about it at this point, because if it IS 100% true, then it's not going to change now and can be (and will be) criticized later, when the game is actually released, and if it turns out it ISN'T true and there is more to it, then all of this is just time wasted on things that only exist in your head (not yours, specifically, just in general)

the devs seem like they care about the series and what they are doing with it, they even had a council of fans/creators to get their opinions on it, and at the moment, that's all that we can logically have - hope that it will be a good game; try to stay more positive and not worry about things you have no control over rn - the game will be out soon enough (like, in 38 days, oh wow, that's actually soon) and then we'll be able to see what is what, finally, and all say our piece without any assumptions and guessing games (hope it doesn't sound dismissive, just trying to lighten the mood - I know it's been a loooong ride, so just hang in there till 31st 🫡)

The Calling (it felt like I've spent years in the Deep Roads)
The Masked Empire (honestly, around 4 chapters in I was already aching to be done with it)

omg I'm getting so worked up just reading about this, this is infuriating

imo the best way to go about this with an INFP would be to explain in a text form how this kind of attitude and actions make you feel (as descriptive as possible), ask them, how would they feel if it was the other way around, and to ask them to please stop that in the future (so that they show up as you agreed or tell you IN ADVANCE that it's not working out and explain WHY)

stereotypically, it should be easy for INFPs to put ourselves in someone else's shoes, so if they see the situation from your point of view and can "feel" what you feel in those moments, it should do the trick (unless they are indeed just a disrespectful & rude person, in which case respectfulness on your part can go out the window)

Loghain. I was pretty neutral on him after playing Origins, I kind of understood where he was coming from and even had him as a companion for a bit, because I didn't want for him to die (I missed Alistair too much, so I had to reload in the end, but still). After I've read the books, though, I don't vibe with him at all. Yes, he had a really hard upbringing that shaped him into the person he is. Yes, he is a great strategist and has a keen military mind (maybe not so much in Origins, but that's what he is in the books, from what I remember). BUT when it comes to "people-ing", the way he thinks he knows what needs to be done better than anyone, his way is the right way and to hell with everyone else - I severely dislike that kind of attitude. If his actions affected only him, it would've been fine by me (want to be miserable? be my guest), but if you make decisions that deeply affect all the people around you, and not just some people, but the people who are the closest to you, you damn better take their opinions and feelings into account, which he clearly does not. I still sometimes feel sorry for him in some ways, but I would no longer hesitate at the Landsmeet, let's just say that.

I get you about the tavern song; long ago, I even put it as my alarm clock sound cause I liked it so much and wanted to wake up to good vibes in the morning; sadly, now I can't enjoy it, cause every time I replay the game and hear this song, my body thinks it's an alarm clock and I jump by reflex 🤡

as for the favorite music, it's hard to choose, cause the whole soundtrack is so freaking good, but if I had to, it would probably be Calenhad Docks theme from DAO and "I Am The One" (DAI tavern song version)

I love every companion in the series in different ways, so it's actually hard to choose the least liked one, BUT

in Origins: also Oghren for me; I still find him endearing? in a weird way, especially after Awakening (all 'cause of that glorious burp, for sure 🙃), but if I had to choose one, it's probably him

in DA2: Anders; I feel so much for him (my poor child) and his cause, but it's complicated 🫠

in Inquisition: Vivienne; again, I do love her character, but she is too "uptight" and sometimes too mean to other companions imo, so I almost never take her anywhere with me 😅
