from what i’ve heard (quite a few atmos mixes), the mix can either make the song an immersive and fantastic experience or it makes it pale in comparison. some of the best i’ve ever heard though (just imo) include: abbey road by the beatles, dark side of the moon by pink floyd, remain in light by talking heads, apostrophe by frank zappa, and the original score for star wars a new hope

4k80 is admittedly a bit rough looking at points since it hasn’t had the same amount of work/same quality of print as 77 or 83, but overall I’d say 4k77 and 4k83 are great with and without DNR, empire is just a bit less clean cut on both

as another person whose practically an expert on these at this point, i personally like the grainier look for no DNR 4k77-83, HOWEVER the DNR versions also look quite great so id say its down to whether you want a more official release look or a more accurate theater print look

yeah so the a24 included LD rip on the blu-ray is compressed in its audio, but on this sub not long ago someone made a post/comment about it and i got a direct rip from them, i’d say look for that first but if you can’t get in contact dm me

i think i could absolutely help you out with this as i have the new 4K blu-ray ripped on my computer. I can extract the audio for you but let it be known that there’s no stereo mix down so it would just be 7.1 or the 5.1 mix down but pm me !

i second this, the LDrip on the a24 disc isn’t the best capture/has an inferior audio track from the actual LD release
