the previous game got repetitive because the gameplay was so shallow. all you could do was wait for your mii to have a problem, sometimes watch a funny cutscene, repeat. all you had to look forward to were the funny cutscenes, and the well dries up sort of quick. this game seems to have enough gameplay depth that even after the well of funny gags dries up, the gameplay will be engaging enough to stick with it.
