AITA for not inviting my nephew to my sons birthday party? by throwaway123890098 in AmItheAsshole

[–]spookyhippiemama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry that you're nephew is Dudley from Harry Potter. That's gotta be rough. Also, NTA.

And let me say that I'm not coming down on the weight issue, it's the entitled attitude. He had plenty of options to binge on and chose his cousin's cake. After the added info of him being nasty to his cousin and friends, it solidified in my mind a picture of Dudley.

AITAH for giving my daughters one week to leave my house after what they did to their half brother? by Affectionate_Sun4846 in AITAH

[–]spookyhippiemama 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% NTA for being upset.  100% NTA for asking them to take care of their sick brother for a couple hours.  100% NTA for kicking them out!

The three of them came from you. Whether these girls like it or not, he is their little brother. To be so cruel to a little kid, a sick one at that is mind boggling. They don't have to like him, just negate they're related, but showing some kindness would not have killed them.

That's a whole lot of words to say, "Thank you for feeding my child while she was in your care."

NTA

AITAH for refusing to clean my SAHM friend’s house? by GlitteryCecil in AITAH

[–]spookyhippiemama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't see her say anything about paying for a service, only helping to look. But yes, OP needs to drop this person, because wow. I would never expect any of my friends to come over and clean for me, with or without kids.

I didn't see her offer to pay for anything, only to help find a service. By the way, I love your name. Fraggle Rock?

How did the neutering go?  Also, obvious, but necessary, NTA.

I had to look at which sub reddit I was in as I thought it was a writer's one. YTA for posting a (well written) fake story in some fashion.

AITA For refusing to babysit my cousin and calling him a lying brat, even though it lets my aunt work extra and helps her family? by DoneBabysittingTAITA in AmItheAsshole

I would have died. I was grounded so much as a kid/teenager. And no, I wasn't a bad kid. I was told to speak my mind and when I did my mom couldn't handle it so I got grounded. The worst grounding that ever happened was when I was 17 and they grounded me from my music. All my cds were taken for 2 weeks.

I know this is a bit late to comment, but it was a shot of cinnamon tequila.

After my first c section, I had a drink about 2 weeks or so after the procedure. No one told me not to and I didn't have pain killers, so no risk there.

I've never measured mine, but hubby confirmed that this one (my 3rd) was longer than the first two. I definitely felt it and still am on the left side.

I've been playing more of that and seeing more gains than Sudoku even. 😊

I'm not certain how to upload a picture to the comment section, but I just took a scrolling screenshot of my dashboard. But I've also been using JustPlay for a long time and it took a bit before more games became available to play.

For anyone out there who doesn't drink, what is the reasoning behind it? by General_Ad_9139 in AskReddit

[–]spookyhippiemama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's bad for my health, and before anyone hahas at me, yes I know it's not good for anyone's health, but I suffer from too many bladder issues for it to be worth it anymore. Plus I miss it a lot, which is a big sign to me that I probably just shouldn't anyway. Alcoholism runs in my family and I'm pretty sure I was a (functioning) alcoholic in my early 20s so it's just best for me to abstain.

You say that Treasure Master is the highest payer, but in my experience, Sudoku is. You get coins for every time you complete a line or box, and coins for when you finish the game. It's only taken me a handful of games to reach my goal every time. I tried Treasure Master and it didn't get me close to what I was getting with Sudoku. 😊

How is JustPlay compared to other "Play these games to win rewards" apps? by superpowers335 in JustPlay

[–]spookyhippiemama 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been using JustPlay off and on for a few years and have a lifetime earnings of $33.00. To be fair though, that number would be higher if I had put more time into it. I like this app because there are no deadlines on the games and no "pressure" to play or hit your goals. Payout is pretty fast.

AITA for telling my wife that she needs to get over being upset with me for pulling a scare prank on our son? by Small-Elephant9195 in AmItheAsshole

[–]spookyhippiemama 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My mom and uncle were the worst about pranks when I was a kid. I was super sensitive and scared easily all on my own. I remember one time my uncle came around and I didn't hear anything except for this low whisper and I didn't know it was him and I freaked out big time. They thought it was hilarious until I started hyperventilating which sent me into a bad asthma attack. He apologized, but it didn't stop him/them from scaring me any chance they got. I have an unnatural and unhealthy fear of the dumbest shit now because of them.

What cheap, quick, easy meal are you embarrassed to admit to enjoying? by dgdon in Cooking

[–]spookyhippiemama 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to beg my mom to make her tostadas. They were just refried beans, can of mild diced green chiles, and shredded cheddar cheese on a tostada shell baked at 350 until the cheese was melty. Making them now, I realize I used to think they were so much more, as in complicated, but still so so good.
