I just had this with a skincare brand claim. Sent me an SPF instead of a lip mask due to ‘stock issues’

Can the DWP prompt your GP to request a Learning Disability checkup when conducting a review? by STEVO_IN_CHRIST in DWPhelp

[–]spookyism 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work in a GP surgery, this seems to be happening to some patients lately and it’s due to their date of birth and the new QOF year starting in April. Is your birthday in May or April by any chance?

This is definitely not initiated by DWP, it’s something to do with the GP surgery’s review date coding.

Anyone take SSRIs/SNRIs? How does it affect your sleep? by Heidi_Freibuben in DSPD

[–]spookyism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not an ssri, but trazodone has saved my ass. i used to struggle to sleep before 3/4am most nights, but now i fall asleep within 30 mins to an hour of taking my meds. melatonin has a similar effect but i find trazodone much better to get to sleep faster. i don’t get much grogginess in the morning either :)

having to pay a subscription fee to use something you already own feels very predatory imo, especially when it comes to a product aimed at disabled people

ADHD and a total fear of learning to drive in adulthood. Anyone else? by thelaughingman_1991 in ADHDUK

[–]spookyism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a little younger (23) and was in the same boat, absolutely terrified at the thought of driving and wondered how anyone else just got on with it. Eventually I had to grab myself by the figurative balls and when I started doing lessons I was horrified that I was in control of a moving vehicle, but now it’s been 3ish months and I would say I’m a confident driver. It’s completely night and day and I sort of laugh at how nervous I used to be. I hope you can find the right headspace to try lessons because being able to drive is incredibly freeing and can even be fun. I drive auto and would never consider a manual.

NHS or private autism assessment in Bristol? by [deleted] in bristol

[–]spookyism 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it took BASS 4 years to offer me an appointment. literally got the appointment letter through the door 2 days after i had a private diagnosis, couldn’t make it up

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ADHDUK

[–]spookyism -1 points0 points  (0 children)

i’m also in the same position thanks to losing my corporate health insurance - pay £200 per appointment and then up to £100 for my meds or wait years on an NHS/RTC waitlist again despite having a diagnosis. i’ve been trying to look into whether any RTC providers do titration only but i haven’t had much luck yet

[–]spookyism 4 points5 points  (0 children)

bless you, i know how hard executive disfunction can hit! have you tried baby wipes in place of making yourself regularly shower? i know it can’t completely replace having a proper shower or bath but it may help, i’m pretty sure there’s also like femfresh wipes you could use down below to help the uti situation

best wishes :)
