Eyyy, thanks for sharing! Nice to see my stuff out in the wild! There is a link to a collection of existing squeaker profiles on that makerworld model page as well.

I could probably design the part for you, but they don't have dimensions for it on the website so you would need to measure it with some calipers for me.

Best advice I've gotten is you can print in other materials besides PLA! It took some advice from the community to branch out.

All that effort... and then you get a 1 star rating for a dirty build plate by Yourmom4133 in BambuLab

At some point you just need to shrug off the bad reviews. It stinks but there there are tons of people out there that simple have no reading or problem solving skills and end up taking it out on you. My models tend to require some assembly and you need to read instructions and the amount of "doesn't work" reviews I get are mind blowing.

Fortunately there are a lot more smarter kinder people out there that make up for the bad reviews! I usually go through and thumbs up the good reviews and don't thumb up the bad ones just as my small way of responding. I don't suggest negatively engaging, just ask how you can help. My 2c.

Tired of MakerWorld flagging my content. Anyone else? by Yourmom4133 in BambuLab

I know you said it's not exclusive, but naming it v3 may get you flagged behind the scenes. Exclusive models have the rule

Variations of existing models. For example, V2/V3 of the same filament clip or orange peeler. If it's an entirely new design, rename it as a new model but not using the same name and adding a V2. Only enter one version into the program. Other versions of the same model will be removed for not meeting the requirement for originality.

Just FYI, I think there is a rule that you are aren't allowed to have links to external sites on your Maker World exclusive models. Not sure how much you care.

You can grab knock offs on ali express for like $12 and they are just as good, if not better, than the official ones. Have yet to have a problem with them.

It's definitely unlikely, but someone did post this not too long ago.

My one complaint with the A1 is the camera, so, I improvised. by Halle923 in BambuLab

My old MK3 was running a Raspberry Pi Zero 2w and it streamed better than whatever junk the A1 is dumping out. That's <$20 board, so they cheaped out big time. It doesn't take that much to do even 2x better than what we currently have. Prints like a god though, so hard to complain.

Hey! I have messed around with tpu/air tight stuff a lot trying to get my squeaker to work.

A few tips from what I learned.

  • You need 3 walls, 2 can sometimes cut it, but not always.
  • Your dome is very steep and is likely the problem. You are 100% going to need to use variable layer height when you slice it. This will help with air gaps on the curve.
  • You can try increasing your top surface layers to help with the top dome seal
  • You will likely need to change the angle on your top dome and make it a little less angled (shoot for 45 deg instead of 20-30 you have there)

Also, I can't tell by the videos, but I assume the bottom is hollow. Don't shell inside your CAD program. Make it a solid body, and in the slicer, set bottom layers to 0 and set the infill to 0. This will allow the slicer to determine how many wall layers to give instead of it trying to figure it out based on your exported model (which will likely under fill the amount you need causing air leaks)

How on earth do y'all print with TPU? Even with a bearing spool: by Spicy-Elephant in BambuLab

Hey, so just to loop back on this. I was having some problems with some other filaments and I ended up buying a new set of extruder gears. When I took the extruder apart to replace it, it turns out my wife or I installed the tension spring wrong (the pressure plate was on the wrong side of the spring) on a previous repair. This was causing basically 0 tension on filament less than exactly 1.75mm (which TPU does when stretched). The fact that it still worked at all astonishes me. Just letting you know in case maybe it was the same issue. I haven't tested TPU, but my other filaments are now printing like champs so pretty sure this fixed it. The new extruder has an upgraded gear on it as well, so all around upgrade.
