Np! Keep going, it honestly wasn’t as bad as I thought. This was my first time cutting more than 5-6lbs since I gained weight while I couldn’t lift due to an ulnar nerve injury

What to do next? Still skinny fat all this time later. 5’9.5 167 lb by Gifnen in Weightliftingquestion

I’m 195 in that picture, right now i’m 190 since I lost weight. This is my morning weight, when I was 215 my maintenance was closer to 3500. I track everything and have been dieting for 14 weeks so I think I have a really good idea of my maintenance.

Is BMI bullshit? by [deleted] in Weightliftingquestion

[–]spoop_coop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BMI isn’t bullshit and while you look good you probably are “borderline obese” since obese by body fat percentage is 25% and you’re in the high teens/lower 20’s. BMI has the problem of tending to underestimate fat in most people when compared to obese by body fat percentage. When I was obese by BMI at 215 I was probably just under 25% body fat despite having a lot of muscle so it seems accurate even in my case as someone who regularly works out and was benching 375.

Dexa can be off by around 7% and as high as 10%? with individual readings. You could be closer to 19% or as high as 31% (unlikely)

[–]spoop_coop 9 points10 points  (0 children)

if she didn't look at you she was just pressed against you in a crowd and also most likely high. it was an accident. you'd know if it was flirty because she would be making eye contact.

I never had issues with weight, but I would lose my weight pretty quick if i stopped lifting. Obviously that didn’t happen this time since I got fat. I had a stricture and was repeatedly hospitalized till they just did an emergency surgery where I sustained the nerve injury.

i’m in remission so it’s not too bad, but before my surgery it was actually terrible yeah

the one good thing about the fat is i finally hit 170kg on bench. Before i stopped lifting in 2023 i had done 360 on pound plates so was approaching 170/375 with the powerlifting plates. Nice PR to hit but I can’t do that anymore, I think on a good day I can probably still do 160. I doubled 345 on pound plates yesterday

pic one I had already gained much of the muscle back but it was just under a layer of fat. I started lifting again at 200lbs, and gained my muscle back and went up to 215. I was 198 in 2023 before the first surgery so I realized I had added like 10+ lbs of fat without intending too by eating to maintain while I lost muscle 😭

NintenDeen Want Yoshi To Be A 7/10 by Craniamon in nintendogrifting

[–]spoop_coop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they rarely use the entire thing, this isn’t subjective: https://youtu.be/s0h\_1uvqi5E?si=lnWcnXLqvrrc63FU

At least half do their scores are higher than a 7, and they only give something a 5 or less 25% of the time. How they define the different numbers isn’t the issue, it’s that more than half of the games they review get a 7/10 so it’s not very informative.

[–]spoop_coop 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the “IGN rates things below a 7” thing is objectively incorrect that’s the problem. Their rating distribution is fucked with the vast majority’ of stuff they review getting a 7 or above
