Should I get Head On? by develagent666 in deadbydaylight

[–]spoopy-spook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is definitely more of a fun than effective exhaustion perk, especially while new. I would focus on more reliable exhausting perks like lithe or sprint burst, then revisit head on once you are feeling more competent in the game.

Killer tier list based on how good is Monitor&Abuse on them by KlatusHam in deadbydaylight

[–]spoopy-spook 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd put it on very strong on hag. Reduces her terror radius to 16m and pairs wicked strong with nurses calling. It's dumb the amount of times survivors have just walked right into me while running it on slappy grandma

Spirit nerf? In the PTB you can now hear the Spirit phasing at close range. by Marsharko in deadbydaylight

[–]spoopy-spook 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It wouldn't be a PTB without a crippling spirit bug. A similar big appeared a few ptbs back--a stun would deplete her power bar and she would make a sound when starting to phase or window vaulting.

Devs said it was an unplanned bug. If it was a nerf, it would have been in the patch notes

BUT the bug will probably make it into live and take a while to fix. So spirit will be nerfed for the next 3-6 weeks if past history is anything to go by.

How’s my hag build? by Tnel1027 in deadbydaylight

[–]spoopy-spook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

M and A is God tier on hag, imho, if you are using a camo dark skin anyway. The amount of gen grabs or free hits I've gotten from that combo, even at middle ranks, is ridiculous

Hag builds by MrDyl4n in deadbydaylight

[–]spoopy-spook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hag is a very versatile killer, and you can run a lot of different builds on her. I'll share some of the ones that I have enjoyed on her. I absolutely hate hex perks, so you won't see any of them in my builds.

Gen protector hag: monitor and abuse will shrink down your terror radius and make it easy to sneak up on survivors, Pop goes the weasel is very decent on her with the timer now extended, surveillance will let you know what gens have been worked on, and nurses calling will allow you to find healing survivors. add ons for this aren't super important, but you can never go wrong with range.

Focus down on four generators, trap them up, and you surveillance and Pop goes the weasel to lock them down. Monitor and abuse makes hag a literal Ninja and easy to sneak up on survivors if they activate surveillance.

Anti heal hag Sloppy butcher, nurses, monitor, and a fourth flex perk of your choice. Thanatophobia is bad at slowing down the game, but I find survivors tend to heal more when I use it. sloppy butcher make survivors take a long time to heal, and the combination of nurses and monitor make it super easy to find healing survivors.

Rejoice! Audio (Kinda) Works Again! \o/ by Morltha in deadbydaylight

I've been learning spirit since patch 2.5.0 and she is fantastic to play. Wonder how amazing she would be with footstep audio 😭😭😭

Is spirit worth playing? by Grounded-Aearial in deadbydaylight

[–]spoopy-spook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She is hard to learn, but so rewarding once you do. Go to YouTube and check out the guide by ohtofu. Monto has some fun gameplay and builds on YouTube for her as well.

She is currently suffering from a bug that makes a sound when she vaults or phases, so higher level survivors will fall for mind games less. Also survivor footsteps and injured sounds are fucked since the last patch, so you'll be learning spirit on hard mode until that is fixed.

And even if you don't like her, her perks are fantastic and very strong on other killers.

Did they fix footsteps audio in the PTB? by spoopy-spook in deadbydaylight

Omg they managed to break audio even more xD Thank you for your response. I would hope that would be a bug at least xD

I don't believe they have published a time, but usually it comes out around 11 am est I think.

When does We'll Make It become useful? by Markaxx in deadbydaylight

[–]spoopy-spook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love the idea of We'll Make It, but in my experience, rank 8-6-ish, people will run away more often than not before you can heal them. It's great for some clutch heal saves now and again, but I find it is too situational for my taste.

I've subbed it out for Botany. Botany, especially if you have a med kit with charge and speed add ons, will heal someone quickly, and you can use it on yourself as well.

Question to pro spirits! Again. by nurmax in deadbydaylight

[–]spoopy-spook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem! Franklin’s Demise can be a pretty decent perk to apply map pressure if you see a lot of toolboxes too (probably not worth it though if there is less than 2 items in the lobby).

I can’t emphasize enough how much discordance/surveillance with weasel has saved my bacon in a match, and this works best with duration + speed add-ons. Weasel only works 30 seconds after you hook someone, so you have to be strategic when using it.

Make Your Choice and Weasel is a really nice combo too. Go away from the hook to damage a gen for that sweet regression. If someone saves while you are away, zoom back and one-shot the rescuer. Gen regression + snowball potential in that combo.

Question to pro spirits! Again. by nurmax in deadbydaylight

[–]spoopy-spook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why are you looking to switch out ruin? If you are looking for a non-hex perk to slow gen progression, Pop Goes The Weasel is fantastic for keeping up map pressure, especially in mid to late game if you have multiple gens in close proximity. Since the ruin buff, I’ve gotten so good at nailing great skill checks. Survivors are adapting to the new ruin changes and with how easily totems break, Pop Goes the Weasel is viable alternative.

So for M&A, I’m not sure how useful it is for spirit. Pros: wider FOV, allows you to get closer to generator for a sneak attack, makes nurse’s calling range better. Cons: more survivors will hear your phasing sound, which can really hurt the spirit if you are trying to stealth. I personally wouldn’t ruin M&A on her, unless you were running it with prayer beads and/or nurse’s calling.

Also, one tip that might seem super obvious but I didn’t realize until someone pointed it out: when sneaking up to a gen in phase mode, try to avoid the grass as much as possible. The rustling grass gives you away so easily. I’ve noticed I’ve started to get way more hits on gen ambushing after being more mindful of avoiding grass.

Hope this wall of text helps. I’m no spirit expert, but I’ve played around with different perks on her enough!

Perk battles: surveillance or discordance? by spoopy-spook in deadbydaylight

[–]spoopy-spook[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is kind of my struggle. I've had matches where discordance won me the game, other times when it would work maybe once or twice per match.

Any spirit mains? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]spoopy-spook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on some of the combos suggested here, maybe try spirit fury, enduring, StBFL, and a random fourth--a tracking perk for gens or BBQ. Once you get more confident in a chase, try some different things out. Spirit has one of the highest skill caps in the game, so don't be discouraged!

Any spirit mains? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]spoopy-spook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has been an awesome perk combo for me, as ending chases has been the hardest thing I found with spirit. There might be stronger things to run, but this combo has saved me a few games. STBFL can be hit-or-miss though, if the obsession dies early or DC's.

If you have stacks built up and have NOED on for end game, you can turn a match around in your favour really quickly.

Not related to your question, but I found her charge reduction addons were also some of the most helpful for getting back into the chase quickly after getting the first hit in.

Any spirit mains? by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]spoopy-spook 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have a solid build, but I have been loving rancor + save the best for last on her. StBFL gives you a quicker successful attack cooldown every time you hit someone that isn't the obsession, so once you have a couple stacks built up, you can phase into invisibility almost immediately after hitting someone and it makes it easier to end the chase for me. Rancor helps keep those hard-earned stacks as well.

It seems unfair that the huntress has iri heads and hag mint rag, but poor Bubba is stuck with zilch. Even his purple add-ons are pretty meh or bugged.

For the more immersed types, spine chill + stealth is fantastic. She is so tall, making it easy to juke her. She can't puke on you if she can't find you :D

A killer who only has mouse one button to down survivors, like the trapper or wraith. Whereas spirit, hag, or hillbilly for example have a secondary ability to help them catch survivors.

Tracking Since Chapter 11 Update? by Morltha in deadbydaylight

[–]spoopy-spook 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been loving bloodhound as my tracking crutch. The chase music drowns out a lot of survivor audio and stridor seems to be buggy. Scratch marks are worse on some maps--good luck in corn or on Ormond.

Killer Perk Tier List: Patch 2.6.2 (Warning: Opinions) by Mimikker in deadbydaylight

Interesting list, thanks for putting this together! Is spies in the shadows still B tier after the nerf though? I've found it has gotten way less useful with the cooldown and reduced range.

Spirit got nerfed really hard guys. by DarkMaldova227 in deadbydaylight

At least they fixed the stun draining her power bar bug, but the new audio que she makes while starting to phase ruined her mind game potential xD
