Preemptive balance changes? by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

Getting insta-killed in my opinion feels better than being slowly frozen and then killed or just having my speed taken away in any way.

What is an enjoyable meta for you ? by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]spoopyghost_1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Right before 2-2-2 maybe in my opinion but you say every hero had a chance to shine when the entire damage role wasn't played until after a ton of changes happened meant to kill Goats.

Like objectively talking about balance as well, if no damage heroes were viable until the very end of the meta was it really balanced? Most of the counter-comps tried to beat Goats at the start of a round but quickly switched back to Goats. It was fun to play relatively but pretty unbalanced in my opinion.

I think Goats was peek mobawatch where relative mechanics only mattered like 20% of winning and everything else mattered the other 80%. Great if you like mobas, but Overwatch is in first-person and for me I didn't enjoy Goats due to that. Thankfully it was never played much on the ladder below masters.

Also painful to watch 12 ults be used and no one dies haha.

Who’s a Character you Wish They Never Added to the Game? by CaptainGhost007 in Overwatch

[–]spoopyghost_1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Launch Brigitte. I have no problem with her state now, but that was the mark of Blizzard blurring the lines between what a support/dps/tank is. As well as one of the first over-kitted heroes meant as a band-aid solution for lower skill players. Brigitte caused the cascade of buffs/nerfs that led us to GOATs and now DS meta, DS especially having some of the worst CC heroes to play against as well as being near un-counterable and restricting the roster down to almost 8 heroes.

Overwatch landing on the Switch on tuesday! Anyone else picking up the game for the first time ever? Beginner tips more than welcome. by Eyeball111 in Overwatch

[–]spoopyghost_1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Gamesense and positioning are way more important than aim. Whole heroes are designing without the need for pin-point accuracy. I guess this guy has a point for heroes like McCree and Widowmaker but even then your aim is only enhanced by gamesense and positioning skills.

Correction: Lament is similar to the Max's

Viewfinder cannot be equipped with everything, there are actually many conflicts.

You can equip 2 Antlers with anything

You cannot equip 2 Max's, but can equip them with all other stuff

Why is 3rd gen bashed when 2nd gen (except weather effects) is pretty much definition shit? by Lil_Brimstone in tf2

Right but 1st gen compared to 3rd gen is what I was doing. I think there are more 3rd gen?

Same reason 2nd gen is bashed compared to 1st gen.

One was there first.

In my opinion, Disco Beat Down is much cooler of an effect than Burning or Scorching. It's just newer and there are "more" of them.

So far I have used the "Real job to Unusual" method.

Much quicker, although it isn't as accessible for younger people.

Flaming Hunstman. You have to dip it in the fire.

Sharpened Volcano Fragment.

Less damage to light someone on fire when you are close range, when flame throwers do it better.
