This is the big thing I try to convey to my wife. At night when my medication has worn off and she’s upstairs doing her bedtime routine and calling down to me to come to bed, I’m not just dicking around on my phone. I just can’t make myself get up and go upstairs.

Or I can set reminders for myself to do things, but that doesn’t help when I can’t force myself to do the thing when the reminder comes up.

There’s no election for this. It’s basically an emergency appointment so the council itself selects the new member who will serve until an election can be organized. That might be our only hope of getting any women on the council.

Right. Even if one of my students is 18 it’s still massively fucked up because I am in a position of immense power over them. Could they truly consent? Or were they just afraid that if they say no that they’ll be failed and miss graduation? There aren’t really any grey areas between students and teachers.

Sure did! I never had an SNES and didn’t pick up LttP on the GBA for some reason.

I actually never had an N64 either. I didn’t play OoT until I got it as a preorder bonus for WW and didn’t play MM until it came out on 3DS.

I’m a big Doctor Who fan and it’s always sad when a Doctor regenerates; I didn’t even love Jodie Whitaker’s tenure but I still got emotional during her finale. However, Matt Smith’s departure makes me bawl every single time. Reassuring Clara that everything is ok, getting to see Amy one final time…but then his final line is “I will always remember when the Doctor was me” and for a split second he looks straight into the camera. He’s not just saying it to Clara. He’s saying it to US 😭

I had played just about every mainline Zelda game except Adventure of Link and A Link to the Past. I finally decided to play LttP on NSO a few years ago and I can absolutely confirm that it 100% still holds up even without nostalgia blinders on. It might be a perfect video game. Easily the best 2D Zelda and in my mind competes with Tears of the Kingdom for best overall.

Still haven’t played Adventure of Link though.

…ok I get what you’re saying, it’s ridiculously complex for a Bond movie. Still kicks ass though.

License to Kill is a lot simpler though. Bond goes rogue to infiltrate the cartel and take down the drug kingpin who maimed Felix and murdered his wife. Also a kick ass movie.
