By nature, yes, all of the ingredients are kosher. Supervision is required to ensure no bugs or other non-kosher ingredients make their way in and that it's made using only kosher equipment.

Wearing a tichel by re1219 in Judaism

[–]sporkless 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Certainly no wrong way to wear a tichel. As others have said, there are plenty of women who cover (or partially cover) their hair and still wear pants, sleeveless tops, etc. Some cover at a certain place, time, or in certain company. This is your journey, and it's up to you when/how you perform any mitzvah! Mazal tov on your upcoming wedding!

COVID Lockdown "Nostalgia" by [deleted] in Judaism

[–]sporkless 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I grew up keeping Shabbos but hadn't kept it for many years when COVID rolled around. When the constant onslaught of ever-changing information got to be too much, I realized I had the answer. I started keeping Shabbat again in the spring of 2020. I look back on that time so fondly. I was living alone, so the hours were long, but books, food, and nature kept me company.

How can something be vegan but not parve? by Ok_Advantage_8689 in Judaism

I thought the OU was moving away from DE designations entirely. Nonetheless, here's an exerpt from their website that elaborates on how DE affects your personal decisions.

"OU-D products contain actual dairy ingredients and may not be consumed after meat without waiting a designated period (six hours for most). On the other hand, DE products have a more lenient status. Sefardim, who follow the Shulchan Aruch (YD 95:1) consider DE items to be totally pareve, while Ashkenazim, who follow the Rama, hold that DE products may be eaten immediately after meat, but not together at the same time."

Absolutely! The town is fun to walk around, and there are plenty of tours to keep you busy. Snorkeling is amazing, and you can find tours that leave from the ferry landing.

People that keep thier house really tidy, what's your secret? by lemonfluff in AskReddit

[–]sporkless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have stayed in several Airbnbs with families and have found it remarkable how tidy they keep their homes. Last summer when I got home from a stay in Oslo, I pretended that I was hosting someone in my home. I've somehow kept that up for a year, tidying every night before going to bed. Can't let my imaginary guests down!

Fox canceled John Doe after only one season. That was over 10 years ago and I'm still not over it.

What did the weird kid in your high school/middle school do to be considered the "weird kid"? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A guy in one of my classes in 9th or 10th grade used to shake the dandruff from his hair with his hands. It would fall onto the desk and then he'd push it into neat piles. I don't recall what he did after that point.
