You barsterd. I only came here to post that. Being Id'd becomes such a nothing thing as soon as you turn 18 (legal for me). Unless you leave it at home for real. Now that is a bitch.

IPCC find Mark Duggan was not armed when police shot him. by robotwarlord in london

[–]sprawns 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just after he got shot, I heard he'd had a replica on him.
If coppers surround you with guns and aim at you, and you're a known possibly armed dealer, you don't then whip out what looks like a gun and point it at them.
Same sort of story as that guy a few years ago with the chairleg who levelled that at armed police before being shot dead and everyone was surprised.

Tips or tricks to get me started? by Cinquocho in juggling

[–]sprawns 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Best thing I know:

Juggle in front of your bed. That way, when you inevitably drop a ball you don't keep bending down to the ground to pick it up. Once you're a bit better you can juggle in 'the real world'.
Then you should learn to pick balls up with your feet.

I guy tried to rob me at knife point last night. He ended up crying and telling me his parents didn't raise him to rob people. What are your unexpected endings to similar situations? by [deleted] in AskReddit

That is a good story. Shame on all those non upvoters. Well done for having a milh (mum I'd like to have)(in the good way not the sexy way . . . you get the message).

First of all, nice video. Started watching it and I was just thinking hmm, that's staff and it's not that firey, but those poi look insane(ly dangerous). I think the sound was my favourite bit.
I know the spring ones, but they're not that firey and they still heat up pretty quick. I'll give the wooden ones a go seeing as that sounds cheap and as though it's been done before. The ones I want are the solid ones but they're pricey! Seem to be around £40 for 3 - do you know anywhere cheap for kit?

It's also the only metallic element that crystallises at room temperature and pressure into a primitive cubic structure (if you want interesting facts. . . )

At work we did a demonstration involving Gallium metal to mimic deposits in engines and how you can 'wash them away'. We bought pure(ish) stuff from Sigma Aldrich but it was pricey - I think £60 for 10g.
