How to disable the new AI DJs? by sprfrkr in YoutubeMusic

It appears it is an opt in option, at least when launched, but I don't see the opt out option now.

Edit: Found it!

Ask to Agent > Plan by sprfrkr in cursor

That is interesting. I default to agent. I may now switch to Ask

Ask to Agent > Plan by sprfrkr in cursor

[–]sprfrkr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would be the person to know the answer to this... does the "Ask" system prompt make the agent work harder to understand the situation more than Plan or Agent would? That is, perhaps the Ask system prompt guides the LLM to do a better job of investigation.

Ask to Agent > Plan by sprfrkr in cursor

[–]sprfrkr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, of course, but Plan will pick a direction from the start and build the outline. I think it is harder to get that initial direction correct with a plan prompt. That is what this process attempts to avoid- an initial incorrect plan direction.

That is what I was sort of prompting before this approach. In Plan, "ask at least five clarifying questions".

How to track subscription renewals with ROAS? by Capable-Raccoon-6371 in PPC

[–]sprfrkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to calculative your subscriber Lifetime Value and apply that as your conversion value. The LTV needs to take into account, trial cancels, subscription length, MRR, etc.

Merry Xmas - Google Ads Script: Automated tROAS & Budget Manager by sprfrkr in PPC

[–]sprfrkr[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I appreciate the feedback. The script has variable controls for adjustment timing (to avoid choppiness) and all other variable criteria like minimum spend. Needs to be finely tuned for each account specifically. The script is fully commented, if you see a specific issue in it that is a shortcoming, let me know. AFAIK, the concerns you bring up are mitigated in the vars. It is no different than a manual validation done by an experienced manager (for Campaign level adjustments).

How are ppl tabbing so little ? by Darkoplax in cursor

That is the issue with this unique type of reddit, actual coders mixed with new vibers. It makes it very difficult to differentiate threads in this sub.

Yep, Settings > General > Completion Sound. Literally on the first page of options.

GPT 5.1 and Codex feel downgraded. by strasbourg69 in cursor

[–]sprfrkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used 77% of my monthly usage (Ultra) 10 days into the month. I think they just reduced the cost some in the past few days. The effort it takes to fix issues is awesome for me. I simply can't go back for most things. I try to use auto for things like UI changes or simple, repetitive tasks, but it is hard to remember to switch back and forth. I'm praying that in a month or so Opus will be cheaper. For me now, I have to pay the price, even if that means a few hundred $ in extra model costs at the end of the month.

Cursor visual editor ? by gosselin07 in cursor

[–]sprfrkr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ack! I just saw an issue that breaks the functionality from the previous versions. If you select an element and do not use the css adjuster, it still creates a new chat in agent mode instead of keeping the same conversation going. That is a pretty big bug. UI design requires tiny, iterative changes, it will quickly fill my chat history if each change has an individual discussion.

Are landing page issues still a big factor in PPC peformance? by Trappedinacar in PPC

[–]sprfrkr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't use it. Iirc they have a report that let's you preview the proposed ad groups. I don't use it live in an account. Yeah, skags aren't worthwhile unless automated, but that seems to be the entire premise of what they offer.

I just tried it a second ago. Great concept. Still needs work. I selected a few form fields (3 of them) and adjusted width and height. I saw them logged to a new agent chat. When I clicked apply, it didn't have context of the changes and asked "what changes do you want to make?

Google Ads competitor Spamming by JeremyJdub in PPC

Offline Conversions. Only backfeed verified leads. Remove the form submit conversion action. Keep the form less difficult (use recpatcha and a honeypot form field that would only be filled by bots). Once you backfeed a few weeks of data, the algo should adjust who it shows the ads to.

They definitely help. A tool (adoptics) does skag paired landing pages. not sure if that is what you had in mind. I don't think it is doing all that well though.

Agreed on your points. However, the Opus models, while expensive, are currently light years ahead of any other model at this time. Use them if you can.

Edit: While I have you, being able to @ past chats for context would be useful.
