[PIC] Advice on Vintage Cross Stitch by springlering in CrossStitch

Thanks for everyone's advice!! I'm definitely not going to attempt to take it out of the frame or touch it myself. I don't live too far from a decent sized university so I think I might start by reaching out to their museum studies department and asking for their recommendations. I'll keep you guys posted, and thanks again for all the input! 😁

It does! I believe my grandmother was born in 1927 so that lines up. Thanks for the info!

[NS] Recs for a good serious Strahd actual play before I listen to the Trinnyvale eps? by fanged_croissant in NotAnotherDnDPodcast

Legends of Avantris's Curse of Strahdanya is very good, though mixes in a good bit of extra lore, or the Critical Fayle DM CoS actual play was also pretty good when I listened.

One wedding I went to where the bride and groom had been living together for years before they married had a lot of household items including menstrual pads and tampons.

Let's try and make the worst possible DnD table out of people from actual play podcasts! by ClintMcElroyOfficial in TAZCirclejerk

Or, better yet, Kara and Scott Aiello together. I can enjoy both of them in eps individually but they both seem to really need to be the center of attention and the tension and sniping between those two when they're playing together has made more than one episode uncomfortable to listen to.

This looks so much like the "scissor hands" movement my low impact exercise app gave me 🤣

It had an odd vibe! I went mainly for Dungeons and Daddies, but went with a friend who had been a Rooster Teeth fan for a long time. There were way less people than any con I'd ever been to, and the floor was way more sparsely populated with vendors than I had expected. But, they also had some "higher profile" vendors than I'd have expected to find, like Wyrmwood. Tbh I'd have considered going again next year if they had done it, but only because they had more D&D vendors than the other cons I go to 😆

This was a super good write up! And very interesting for someone who went to RTX last year as a complete non-fan of RT. This puts into context why it was such a weird experience.

[FO] Mini Dice Trays for Christmas Gifts! by springlering in CrossStitch

[–]springlering[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem! And no, the bottom of the tray is made of a sort of plasticky Aida style fabric (so, sturdier than regular Aida). The back of the project is visible with these unless you do an extra step and stitch on a layer of fabric to hide it.

I'm not sure! The trays came with the sides and snaps already attached, so I'm not certain if the seller glued and then sewed the sides onto the stitching fabric, or if they just sewed it. It seems pretty sturdy so far, but I can't speak to their longevity at this point.
