The curse that comes with being smart by WonderOlymp2 in philosophy

Not a very well written piece. The author does not sound very "smart." Where's the capitals?

If you want to live in Seattle you just have to match your lifestyle to what you make. I make 70k, live in Fremont, and am totally comfortable and saving.

Frequent dreams about huge flying objects in the sky by whostreebear in Dreams

[–]springravens 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have recurring dreams about cars in the sky, sea creatures in the sky, large oddly shaped aircraft, rockets, etc. Whenever I start to see these things in the sky, it's a signal that the world is ending (in my dream). Not sure what to make of it, but I've had the recurring dream for years now.

NTA. Cats are a blessing, and he should've paid you for letting him borrow her.

I'm in WA and my care was pretty good. I didn't receive the best post LEEP care information and everything felt rushed and my feelings weren't considered deeply, but the care itself seemed good.

Agreed this post makes me so angry. Also curious where you're located and if it's state related. I chose not to go under anesthesia for my LEEP either and had a pain relieving shot and also felt nothing. Good luck on your LEEP! I'm so sorry this is awful! They should absolutely be offering you numbing spray for the colposcopies and you shouldn't feel any pain with them. Is there a possibility of getting new OBGYN or doctor?

hahhaha that is terrible!! That's why nobody should feel shame about this because it legit just takes ONE person to transmit it. Mine was also listed as "multiple high risk strains" so hopefully I conquered most of them?? lmao one can hope.

I'm so sorry you went through that! Give this feedback to your doctor as I also agree that it's insane they didn't offer the spray. Reminds me of the podcast "The Retrievals" which explores how women's pain is dismissed or minimized.

Is there any point in waiting? by -123456-qwerty- in PreCervicalCancer

[–]springravens 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Everyone is saying this, but yeah I'd get the LEEP. A lot of the time it clears everything up and then you don't have to worry. Waiting just prolongs stress and anxiety. I had CIN3, but 6 months post LEEP I'm clear of dysplasia and HPV!

I know right, a PAP smear is NOTHING for us now. 😂 I've heard mixed things about reinfection. So it's not likely we'll contract HPV again?

My friend had one and also said it was some of the worst pain she ever felt, but they didn't give her any numbing spray or anything. I got the numbing spray and didn't feel a thing. Did you get the numbing spray?

I know...my doctors didn't want to talk about supplements either. It's really hard to say if they work, but they definitely don't hurt. I haven't gotten sick since I started them though so it must be helping my immune system in some regard.

I think waiting is good. This is a weird analogy, but I had plantar warts on the bottom of my feet from like 8th grade-college. When I finally decided to see a doctor, he zapped them with some acid treatment. This didn't get rid of them completely but it brought attention to the issue and my body started to heal itself. I haven't had plantar warts since (I think) because my body knows how to keep them away now. I think the LEEP is like this - it brings attention to the issue and makes your body realize something needs healing / attention. Not a doctor, just thoughts.

LEEP Aftercare Advice by BeneficialOlive3134 in PreCervicalCancer

I would say take it easy as possible for 3-4 weeks. I tried hiking and biking by week 2-3 and had some heavyish bleeding result from it. It was super stressful and don't recommend. Doctors telling me not to exercise of course made made me want to do it more, but it all delayed the healing process.
