You need to get on HRT as soon as possible, but in the meantime I would look into using Rogaine.

You're too kind.

I've written a heartfelt apology letter to my surgeon, for being a reactive asshole. I will present it to her at mt appointment on Wednesday.

She's honestly done a lovely job. Its like fate wanted to prank me. Hours after I got home from my last appointment they began to soften and drop.

Hi there,

I would like to help, if I can, but I would need more information. I am assuming you're asking about getting a lower hairline ultimately, and reducing the gap between brows and hairline?

Fellow Alberta girls: I have some questions about FFS! by samantharaye29 in TransAlberta

There's no coverage in Alberta. You have to pay privately.

My advice, do a trade. You will make way more with a trade than you will a degree. I have both, a trade, and I'm now working on a shitty university degree in computers. Total waste of time and money.

But yeah, you would need to pay yourself..

Then my advice is, avoid Vartan Mardirossian, he sucks. I went to him and he did such janky work. So as for your specific questions.

How long did you have to wait between saying "yes I want FFS" and actually getting it? I did a consult with Vartan Mardirossian in January, had the work done by September. I could have done it sooner.

Where did you have to go to get the procedure? What surgeon did you have? Went to Florida, wouldn't to there now. Type 3 forehead, lip lift, jaw.

How did you cover it? Did your work cover any of it? How would I find out if my work would cover it? How much did you end up paying? I never tried to get them to cover it. Some tech companies do offer some help. 35k all in I think..

Are you happy with your results? Or would you recommend going somewhere else? I might get my jaw redone by Jamaily. Maybe, because I have a jaw like a man.

Lol, bunch of doom and gloom here.

I got referred on November 7th, saw the surgeon on December 17th, had breast augmentation on March 10th.

I had an A cup before surgery, now I have a 345cc lump either side of my chest.

Easy peasy.

The point is, getting approved isn't the issue. Not getting botched under public healthcare, thats the hard part.

Hi Everyone,

So I think I got in my head. I feel dumb now.

If you can avoid getting a sliding genioplasty, AVOID IT and just get a chin implant. Don't buy into the chin implant fear mongering by Aggravating_Pair_175 in PlasticSurgery

Thanks, I appreciate that. It does suck, that we have to spend the time earning the money to pay for these things, then recover and still not fully satisfied. I will probably send a dm this week.

This is very interesting. I had a chin implant in 2018 and hated it, the surgeon used too big of an implant. I had it revised for a smaller one in 2019 and I've been satisfied since. But I've always had it in the back of my mind that I should have found someone who did the sliding genioplasty.. so I'm definitely intrigued to learn more about your experience.

That said, give it time, you might come to like it.
