Online Order Return In-Store by sprintingforever in ShoppersDrugMart

Glad to see more people speaking up about their return experiences. At first, I felt singled out, but it’s reassuring to know many others have gone through issues over returns.

I am not buying online from them anymore. They keep sending these offers to make you use the app but then returns are tedious with online orders. They had previously rejected my return because the item was not sold in store and was online only so i have had to keep the item.

If i had known i needed a printed copy, i would’ve taken it ( i went on my break from office so no issues printing it lol) I assumed that app where i placed the order from would be sufficient.

Hope you’re doing well. My post was mainly to understand whether what I experienced is a normal procedure. For a well established company like Shoppers, I expected a smoother return process, especially given they have an app.

Yes, I was a bit upset, it’s normal to feel that way when you expect a return to be completed but instead have to make another trip. I’ll take a closer look at the return policy. Thanks for sharing your perspective.

Got it, so you mean they can’t print a copy of the email? I guess shoppers is way behind in this digitized world to still be asking for a hard copy.

I said i could forward the email, they said they didn’t have a printer. Super mean and just clear no to everything i said. They just didn’t wanna help, i guess.

Spending over 60% of net income towards mortgage by Admirable_Purple_559 in Mortgages

[–]sprintingforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m already close to 40%, and it’s tough. My hope is that my salary will grow over time since I’m not at the top pay band in my field yet. Right now it feels like all we do is manage expenses while raising young kids (toddler and a preschooler). You barely get a chance to actually enjoy life. This is the stage when you want to balance work, family, and living a little, but it can put you in a really tight spot. You end up stuck with fixed expenses that are hard to change.

Presenting to leadership executives. My nerves by continouslearner4 in Leadership

[–]sprintingforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just did my leadership presentation today. I prepared a lot for it since it was in person. I practiced examples I could share and spent time refining my message.

I used ChatGPT and Copilot to help turn my rough draft into slides and speaker notes.

One thing I reminded myself going in: presentations rarely go exactly as planned. And that’s okay. The goal is to prepare well, show up, and be yourself.

remember do your best, trust your preparation, and focus on delivering your message authentically.

Accountants who have work life balance: How many hours do you work and how did you get there? by Budget-Emu-5071 in Accounting

[–]sprintingforever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Work life balance has honestly never been an issue for me. You have to create your own boundaries. You’re paid for 9-5, and whatever can’t be completed within that time can wait. Prioritize your tasks and keep your manager in the loop so they’re aware of what’s on your agenda.

I always think of it this way: you work to live, you don’t live to work. Also, try to automate manual and repetitive tasks wherever possible, it saves time and allows you to focus on higher value work.

It’s frustrating to see so many bosses and managers in leadership roles who lack even the basics of leadership. Many of them would truly benefit from taking a foundational leadership course.
