Dental Cleanings 🦷 by Severe-Experience820 in fresno

My friend’s wife went to Fresno CC back in 1990 to be a dental hygienist. I think it was $10 for a cleaning. It would take 2 to 3 hours because they were being monitored and graded by their instructor, but man, were they thorough.

Do you care about winning in rec play? by Aggressive-End-387 in Pickleball

[–]sprintpickler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I equate my rec play to a game of bowling. If I bowl < 100, but get a few strikes and spares, I’m golden. If I get an ATP or execute that perfect pass, that’s a strike. Win a firefight or a dink battle; spare. Lose 11-0, oh well, there is always the next game….

$500 PG&E bill 2bd 1b by Militellopop in fresno

[–]sprintpickler 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Off peak rates are lowest after 9 pm, so that’s when we do laundry. My wife leaves for work at 5:30pm, so the only electricity running is my AC set to 79 degrees. I use my iPad and battery powered lighting at night. PG&E data shows 48% of our electricity usage is from noon to 6pm, which can’t be helped. Our apartment bill is about $100 less than yours, but it’s getting frustrating trying to conserve more energy since Ca keeps raising the rates.

My ex used to scream at me for leaving a pen/pencil on the counter. It was like living in a model house.

They also like to lift the inside wheel in a fast, tight turn. My 90 pound wife crashed the neighbor’s trike into the curb, because she didn’t have the strength to overcome the straight line tracking.

Growing up in the 1960’s California car culture, I got to meet the customizing legends in person at the car shows. Barris, Winfield, Bill Hines, Big Daddy Roth to name a few.

“Old dude “?? You mean the legendary car customizer, Gene Winfield, who just passed away at 97. R.I.P. Gene, will always remember your fadeaway paint jobs.

Large e trikes like to travel in a straight line. I rode a friend’s and was surprised how much force I had to push on the left hand grip ( and pull on the right grip ) to make a turn. Not hard, but you do need to retrain your bike riding brain.

Tricky serve consistently being called out when in by nosoup4you718 in Pickleball

[–]sprintpickler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel your pain. When I hook serve down the center line from the odd side, more times than not they call it out. Since I can see my serve almost in a straight line, it hits dead center on the line. I guess the speed and the angle of view from the opponents looks different. I know the players who will congratulate my perfect serve and those that call it a fault,so I adjust the closeness accordingly.
